My wife, brother-in-law, friend (all from Austria) and I had our first trip with David yesterday and it was an absolute pleasure from the get go. David is one of the nicest, most professional people you will meet and he goes out of his way to make sure that everyone involved has an extremely pleasant and safe experience. I have no hestitation what-so-ever highly recommending David to anyone that may be interested in his Helicopter services. My family and I have had several fantastic experiences flying with Dave from Brisbane Helicopters. He is the ultimate professional, providing a safe service tailored to the individuals needs. Nothing was to much trouble. Can not recommend highly enough.

We recently had a bad experience with David of Brisbane Helicopters. We’d booked to use a voucher we’d bought at a charity fund-raiser for a return chopper ride and lunch (separate vouchers) – lovely, we thought. All seemed fine: I organised with him to meet at Archerfield airport; I’d looked up BH online and its address was Terminal Building at Archerfield, so we turned up there on time…but no-one was there. We waited half an hour, started to get worried, then I found I’d missed a call from David 5 mins earlier. I phoned him straight back and he said he was at a hangar 10 mins away on the other side of the airfield. He said: I texted you instructions this morning, and phoned you half an hour ago. I said: no, you didn’t; you texted a ‘hello’ message but no instructions and you phoned 8 mins ago. Apparently I shouldn’t have contradicted him, but we’d been waiting and getting worried for half an hour. By the time we drove around to where he was, he was furious – so furious, he said, that he couldn’t take us flying anymore. He said he’d been doing it as a favour. We were so taken aback we didn’t know what to say, so we drove away, with apologies. Afterwards, I was furious too – mate, it was nice to donate the voucher for charity but you weren’t doing us a favour; we’d paid for it and you ripped us off. And if you want customers to be at a particular hangar, tell them where beforehand. My conclusion: this guy’s disorganised, and watch out for hissy fits – no recommendation here.
