The staff at Oxley travel were so helpful in organising our recent trip to Lord Howe Island. From the first time we rang them, then every time we either spoke or emailed them, so they were so prompt, helpful and just really nice to deal with. Thank you everyone - you really made it really easy for a very nervous traveller!
Oxley Travel is the one stop shop if travelling to either Lord Howe Island or Norfolk Island. I have found the staff at Oxley Travel friendly and approachable. I appreciate their wealth of knowledge on both destinations. Planning a holiday can be quite daunting but the staff at Oxley Travel help put my worries at ease by finding a holiday experience to suit my family’s needs. I would highly recommend Oxley Travel if you are planning a trip to Lord Howe Island or Norfolk Island.
Oxley travel, especially consultant Shelly M, went that extra mile to arrange the perfect trip for us to Lord Howe island. She has made sure that our accommodations were tailored to suit our needs, the flights and costs were absolutely on the mark. well done Shelly and well done Oxley. I will be returning for further travel arrangements and I recommend Oxley to all.
We recently had a very enjoyable 10 days on Norfolk Island , the organisation both pre departure and during our stay met all our expectations . Well done Oxley.
We had a terrible experience with Oxley due to their ridiculous fees. We booked the entire family of 9 for flights and accomodation on LHI and I had to subsequently cancel just my booking. The fees they charge for cancellations and the so called fees that Qantas charge meant that from a $1200 credit on flights I only got back just over $600. I was actually better off getting a refund then re-booking through them due to their re-booking fees, I would have ended up paying more on top of my $1200 credit. Due to the fact LHI is in the middle of the ocean and vulnerable to all kinds of weather means that flights get cancelled a lot, to the point where some travellers end up cancelling their entire trip which is where Oxley obviously make their money. I would suggest using trip advisor and booking your flights and accomodation yourself.
this travel agent specializes in lord howe island, beware, this very small island definitely is not paradise: few crowded beaches at peak season with no less than 400 tourists allowed at a time, cattle not banned, despite world heritage listing; warning, do not book bowker beach house: no sea views, not a real beach house, owner can cancel booking without refund, total fraud, then oxley won't help
The ladies at Oxley Travel helped make our Norfolk Island holiday a wonderful experience, they were always available to answer any questions and assist us with booking tours.
