Highly recommend, I stayed here after the birth of my first baby and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Thank you for making the first few days of motherhood a little easier. My midwife Margie was incredible xx
Did not like my experience here with a midwife named laurel at all ! bearly communicated with me as well as being on the phone with her family during our first appointment witch left me very upset felt like our appointment was rushed, only managed to get one appointment with her, she said she was going to get someone to come to my house for another appointment never happened ! I told her I can make it into the building if I can book an appointment she then said she was booked out, she left me to go on holiday but before that she said it the very start that she has a partner to take over wen she’s not working but she lied, I felt so upset when she left and with how everything was going as this was my first time experiencing a midwife, I would not recommend her at all ! Very much disgusted with her unprofessional uncaring behaviour.
Stayed here with my wife, after our son was born. Amazing experience and really helped us to feel confident and assured as first time parents. Free home cooked food for the mums was a bonus. Huge shout out to Sophie and Sandica, you guys are incredible and we will remember you always. Breast Feeding Magicians.
I stayed here after the birth of my first child. I would like to name some amazing midwives, India, Susan, Jasmine and Manisha. You'll do an awesome job. Keep it up. One thing to improve is to allow partners to stay overnight. I had a c section delivery and found it hard to focus on my baby while looking after myself. The love ladies mentioned above helped immensely but nothing like your partner's support.
I HATED THIS PLACE!!! I had a C-section and I was a first time mum , I went there after one night in middlemore and was recommended to go here from my midwife, the staff where rude and blunt and I felt like I was a burden when I asked for help soo I stoped asking. I only stayed one night and I felt like it was truly one off the worst nights of my life, was not a good start to motherhood
I had concerns about baby movements today and called my midwife and it got transferred to Linsey. She came to botany unit straight away and addressed my concerns and made sure that everything was ok before I left the unit. I can not thank her enough and really appreciate her services. Kind regards Anureet Gill
Deliverd my baby girl at Botany Downs a few months ago and the whole experience was amazing. The staff really look after me and my baby. If I needed help with anything they were right there to help. Couldn't recommend staying there more
One of my worst experience of life staying in this place after the birth of my first baby.I was strongly advised by the midwife to spend sometime here after birth. The staff were mostly bureau who only come to tick their charts and local staff are not bothered at all.I ended up under-feeding my baby whereas i was told by them that i was doing an amazing job feeding and hes doing well.On third day a midwife came from hospital who advised my baby was having yellow fever and substantial weight loss because of underfeeding.Ended up getting my new born admitted to hospital again!!
My wife was originally admitted to Parnell birthing unit after the birth of our first child. After being released our son developed jaundice and we were advised by our Midwife to go to the Botany Birthing unit as we live in Botany. Compared to Parnell, Botany is old and showing its age. However, we found the staff to be far better compared to Parnell. The staff kept checking on my wife and son over the 2 days they were there. They taught us how to hold the baby, feed him, bathe him, taught him to latch and gave us great baby/parenting advice. Parnell staff didn't do any of this for us. Botany also has free parking on-site. They have a small communal dining area where new mothers or guests can help themselves to free tea and coffee. This was also a useful place for me to have dinner on my visits. By no means is it a 5 star facility. But for what it is we were happy.
Very poor experience & treatment from staff, i will never forget it to. my newborn woke up at 3am for feeding so i asked a staff if she could help me latch baby & she refused..instead she belittles me to the point i’m in tears ..me & my newborn end up leaving the place at 3.30am in tears.
