My go-to for a chicken schnitzel roll, made to order. But make sure you get there when they're busy. The food goes pretty quick. I dropped in well after 2 and they were starting to clean up for closing.Food: 4/5
Excellent customer service and reasonably priced, great delicious food! Makes visiting your trip visiting Melbourne very homely and welcome. I noticed that they valued their regular customers very well and remember you when you return!
My favourite Cafe which we frequent every time we visit Melbourne most often to enjoy their beautiful big breakfast. Good, wholesome, beautifully prepared food which is very affordable. Happy staff fill orders promptly. The best part about the Cafe is that I can read the menu whilst others make their menu so fancy and complicated to justify their exorbitantly priced offerings. I suspect the continuing low level of foot traffic in the CBD post COVID continues to make business very challenging for them so PLEASE GIVE THEM A TRY. There is a tram stop just across the intersection Tram routes 86 and 96. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available on the menu. Kid-friendliness: A mix of tables and bench seats which kids like. Spacious dining area. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible from the footpath with no stairs. Wide access door. Spacious dining area.
I loved this place for lunch but have been back a couple of times over the last two months and price has increased, which would be fine but the serving size is a quarter of what it use to be. So disappointing.
Breakfast meal is great. Freshly made. We had Eggs florentine & Big Breakfast Service is good, met our expectations. Cosy place and friendly environment. Affordable.
Very fast and very friendly service. Large take-out coffees are enormous, delicious because of the fine beans they use and great value. Perfect poached eggs make their Eggs Benedict a perfect start to your day...and the array of substantial, tasty, freshly prepared, salads make lunchtime a healthy option you can look forward to. This Bourke Street institution has earned its reputation through the quality of its food, the quality of its coffee and its consistently superb service. Highly recommended!
Epic big breaky and coffee for $16! Everything was spot on and the coffee was off the hook. Keen to get back and try a few other items on the menu.

We're down from Darwin and wanted to find a Melbourne Cafe to sit at, enjoy breakfast and watch Melbourne happen. We found Bluestones. They offer a big breakfast for $16.50. It was amazing. Biggest breakfast I've ever had. Great value. The staff were great. The owner was very friendly and made us feel appreciated. Will definitely be visiting again.
Went there this morning and ordered take away eggs benedict. Staff were extremely friendly, the service was quick and the eggs benedict was delicious! Very generous with the ham and hollandaise sauce. Price was also very reasonable - $10 for a big serving. Highly recommended
