An absolute delight. This was our first stop for our honeymoon in the country and it was brilliant. Great service and even greater coffee. Coffee menu is limited, but when you're good at what you do you don't need any more. I had a white and my husband had a long black. They recommend the blends for you. Definitely get the tomato and cheddar pastry - out of this WORLD. Really cute place, too! They also offer sparkling or still water while waiting, which is a nice touch. Hidden behind an alley with lovely open windows and some meaningful street art. They made us feel so welcome we went back a second time. Definitely visit this place if you're in Melbourne.
This place did not disappoint! It was promoted as the best coffee in Melbourne and that's a tall order when I haven't yet had a bad coffee. That being said. It was well-worth the visit and I'll be returning. The staff was amazing. Super helpful and offered free sparkling water while I waited for my coffee which took no time at all. The coffee was great and it's located in a little alley way behind a barber shop. It's a bit hidden so don't despair if you don't immediately see it. You line up outside the windows. There's also some interesting wall art to check out while you wait.
This is a hidden gem that offers a unique and lively coffee experience. From the moment you step into the cozy, standing-room-only space, you can feel the energy and buzz of the cafe. The cafe's interior is minimalistic and unpretentious, with a small counter and a few standing tables that are made out of their windows. The star of the show is undoubtedly their house blend coffee. Whether you're a fan of espresso shots or milk-based drinks, you won't be disappointed by their offerings. What sets Patricia cafe apart from other coffee shops is its standing-room-only format. The cafe is always bustling with people stopping in for a quick caffeine fix before work or during a busy day. Sweet options are also lovely! Despite the limited space, the staff at Patricia cafe are efficient and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you're a fan of a fast-paced coffee experience, then Patricia cafe is the perfect spot for you. It's an ideal spot to grab a quick coffee before heading to work but be aware of the long line or to enjoy a brief respite during a busy day. Overall, excellent coffee, a lively atmosphere, and a unique standing-room-only format that's sure to impress. Only open during weekdays.
I'm not that much of a coffee person, but I needed one today, so I had to look up which place had the best coffee in Melbourne CBD, and this place was on the top of the list. They stand by their reviews. ‘Patricia’ coffee was probably the best I’ve had so far. The ambiance, the lovely staff, the coffee, were all an 11 out of 10. There was even a queue when I went. Highly recommended!
Heard positive reviews of their coffee, however, my partner and I preferred their milk based house-blends over their single origin. On a happier note, the staff were exceptional! We arrived quite late in the afternoon and they provided amazing and timely service:
Being from Sydney we've been told Melbourne coffee is superior, after coming to this place I will have to agree this is true. The pastries were also amazing, buttery flavour yet not over powering, and the service was super friendly. I am definitely coming back here again when I visit next .
Superb coffee and lived up to its hype and high google ratings. Great service and top notch coffee. Had the Patricia blend and flat white, along with the cinnamon for $16. Came back 3 months later to have their renowned cloud nine coffee. Coffee was extremely rich in flavor. Sparking water was served while waiting for our coffee which was served in no time! Would come back again! No chairs, so you’d have to stand while you have your coffee.
Patricia’s coffee is a must if your visiting Melbourne. One of the best coffee experiences I’ve ever had. Staff, vibes and the coffee… omg! There was a line out the door but the que goes fast. The smell of this place when you walk by is amazing. The coffee is black or white with a simple menu including all of the staples. Their style and décor is modern and coffee products all have a sexy look. staff are above and beyond amazing here, explaining the coffee, their process and even what we were doing for the rest of the day line died down. We were even given 2 free ice coffee drinks. What a fun experience, we purchased a canister of grounded coffee!
Today, we went to visit a true specialty coffee institution in Melbourne – Patricia Coffee. The menu was simple, yet exquisite: an espresso blend made from two origins – San Vincente from Huila, Colombia and Nensebo from Sidamo, Ethiopia . The filter coffee was a single origin – Kenya Gondo from Murang’a county. During my first weeks in Melbourne, I have already enjoyed many outstanding coffees. Most of them were cultivated and processed by well-known producers. Today, I would enjoy three outstanding coffees, each produced by several hundred smallholders. While Brett went for the Kenyan filter coffee on ice, I have chosen a magic with the espresso blend from Colombia and Ethiopia, followed by the Kenyan filter coffee. The ice coffee came in a stylish metal hip flask. The fully transparent ice cube had smoothened edges and its big size perfectly cooled down the coffee without diluting it. The magic came with a beautiful visual contrast between the coffee and the milk. Taste wise, the espresso cut nicely through the milk, which gave a beautiful smooth texture and a high sweetness. The filter coffee was clean and sweet. The 560 smallholders from the Kiriti Farmers' Cooperative Society F.C.S. have done a terrific job. It is said, they pick the cherries and bring them to the factory that same day for selection and separation, as hand sorting happens before depulping begins. The ripe cherries are processed using fresh water from the local Kananahu stream, and the coffee is then dried under the Kenyan sun on East African drying beds. It is beautiful to see, that unknown smallholders can produce equally tasty coffee as well-known rock-star producers. A big thank you also to the friendly barista team from Patricia Coffee: they have been very welcoming, and we had a great chat about the workflow in a busy café. That was very insightful. See you soon.
The buzziest and friendliest cafe you’ll walk into! Service was really good and got the signature sparkling water which helps to cleanse your mouth before sipping on that creamy and delightful latte! Coffees are a tad pricey here! But worth going if you are feeling fancy
