Telopea House is in a great location, perfect for accessing walks and the shops without taking the car. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more. Loved the spaciousness allowing our large group to not feel on top of each other. Will definitely visit again. Sue and Team were fabulous to deal with. Very knowledgeable and helpful

We were able to book and stay in the Mirambeena house over the long weekend and the booking process was fine. The house had a bbq and when we arrived at the house we stored all of our meats for grilling, as well as other foods in the fridge. The light was on inside the fridge and it was turned on, so we had no reason to know it was not working. When we woke up the next morning, all of the food in the fridge was warm and the milk we had bought was sour. We had to throw out the milk and all the perishables. When I called up the emergency number the next day, the Blue Mountains Escapes emergency contact person was very rude. He blamed us for not calling earlier (the emergency number was not clearly written on the notices in the house and it was too late anyway as our food was spoiled by then). Then he admitted that he knew the fridge was not working and the owner had informed him that he put a small bar fridge in until the fridge was fixed, but we had not been told this. But rather than apologising, he kept blaming us and telling us that the food wouldn't go off so quickly. When we returned, we were told that they would investigate what had happened and I also sent in a complaint via their system. But they never investigated the issue, apologised, or made any attempt to compensate us for the problem that they caused. We've stayed in rentals across the world and have never had such bad service as this.

Read their terms and conditions very carefully. You will have to go hunting on their website though because the don't seem to be up front about them. I can see why!! Cancellation policy is very strict. Let the buyer beware that's for sure, but If I had have known their $100 cancellation fee (no matter how much notice you give them) or even worse, if they don't find another booking, they will keep your whole deposit. I sadly found out these terms the hard way... I suggest you use air b n b instead!
