I had confirmed with the motel staff that my friend and I would be booked into a quiet room for just one night. After a long day of hiking, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep to rest up for the next day’s hike. Unfortunately, what we got was the noisiest possible room, and it turns out they had overbooked us by mistake. They offered to move us into two separate quiet rooms, but we would have to pay nearly double the original price.nnThe receptionist was incredibly rude—honestly, the worst service I’ve ever encountered. We had no time to cancel our booking and find another place, so we had no choice but to stay. The room’s noise isolation was terrible, and it felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the Western Highway. The poor accommodation completely ruined our second day of hiking.nnBefore posting this review, I requested the manager call me to discuss what happened. However, I never received any follow-up or apology. I would not recommend this motel to anyone, and I certainly won’t be returning.
Sure, it looks a little dated but don't let that put you off. Fresh new, clean, bathrooms - the room was spotless and the service was fabulous. AND they have an EV charger. Would definitely stay again.
We had 2 rooms booked. One for my husband and I, one for my parents. I can not recommend this motel highly enough. We checked in and were greeted by such a friendly man on reception who could not do enough to make our stay less than amazing. Our rooms were incredibly clean, the shower was great and incredibly hot. We received fresh towels every day, the bed was made in our room, not the one my parents stayed in as they chose to make it themselves, tea/coffee/sugar/cookies replenished daily. Bin changed in the room, ashtray outside the room.nnWe were there for 4 nights in July 2024 and truly could not fault it for the price we paid.nnThe people who ran the place were so friendly, so welcoming and we would not hesitate to return.nnKate and Chris Rohde
Very clean, comfy bed, reasonably priced. Rooms have air conditioning and beds have electric blankets needed in Blackheath even at the end of October.
Great staff! Super friendly and helpful to everyone. Rooms are spotless and clean! Great location
