Stayed in a three bedroom condo for 2 nights, the room was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed for our stay except a washing machine. There is a laundry available to use in the park.nThe view from our room was spectacular. Was even better at night with all the city lights. There are reviews mentioning the noise from the close proximity to the highway. It is noisy especially with the window open but it didn't keep us awake or wake us in the night so wasn't an issue.nFor younger children there is a jumping pillow.nStaff were friendly and welcoming. Received a text when our room was ready which was good if we wanted to check in early.
Stayed in one of the condos for one night on our way to Devonport at the end of our trip. King size bed with en suite, double bed, and 4 bunk beds, so could accommodate up to 8 people. It was a fantastic way to relax after a couple of weeks of travelling around Tasmania. Modern, clean, comfortable accommodation with everything you could want. Televisions in living space, and 2 main bedrooms, so you can stream different services if you wish. Spacious bathrooms, including large showers with big shower heads that had good pressure. Modern oven that heated quickly, dishwasher that actually cleaned the plates, with dishwashing powder and liquid provided for cleaning up after meals. Large fridge freezer. Large balcony overlooking the Big 4 site below. Jumping pillow to keep the children entertained. Close to the freeway and Cataract Gorge. Wallabies and Pademelons moving around the site at night and early in the morning. Really enjoyed our one night stay, would highly recommend.
The Team have done a fantastic job providing a quality accommodation option for travellers here. Located close to town, with great accommodation options from campsites to self-contained cabins, while still changes are being made to the site this was a very pleasant stay for us travelling in 2x family groups. The only issue was the closeness to the freeway, which wasn't significant, but did generate some background noise. Otherwise fantastic!
Firstly the staff are lovely and this review is not a reflection on them. They are all doing their job well and are friendly and helpful.nnWe left after one night and after discussing the below issues the owners refunded the second night which was much appreciated.nnThe positives:n- Close to townn- Large, light filled and clean toilets and showersn- Fun jump pad for kidsn- Large laundry with plenty of machinesnnThe negatives:n- The complete lack of an appropriate camp kitchen: it’s not enclosed, has one each of a tiny stove, tiny microwave and small kettle.n- Only 2 picnic tables / eating areasn- The laundry is only coin operated: not many people carry cash these days! And after hours it becomes impossible to change any moneyn- The price is extremely high for a powered sitennThis place caters for cabin users. You will note that ALL the glowing reviews are from people who booked cabins. If that is what you’re booking you’ll have no complaints as you’ll have a kitchenette, space to eat both inside and outside your cabin etc.nnHowever a Big4 site needs to cater to campers as a primary focus rather than as an afterthought. The map notes ‘A new camp kitchen is being built’. Until it is, the price for sites not cabins should be halved.
We received notification early that our cabin was ready and we could arrive.nnThe 2 bedroom cabin on the hill was lovely.nWalking distance to city, close to cataract gorge and places to eat. Short drive to airport.nnCabin was very clean and looked new. A nice welcoming hand written note awaited us.nnWould certainly stay here again.
