Mould in the shower/toilet. Water is not hot. Soap smells like melted plastic stink. Limited breakfast spread. Two fire false alarm in our four night stay. Both happened at 4am and 6am. Shared car park with the public. Even if you pre-paid for it, you still have to wait for space and no priority for hotel guest. Only thing good about this place is its location.
If I could give less stars, I wouldnnThe people next door to us were making extreme amounts of noise at 2am when my husband had 5 surgeries the next day. We asked for a room change but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked for that evening.nThe next morning I called reception to ask if the same people will be staying there and ask for a room change which they accommodate us with. Receptionist brings me my key and says take your time. Then the house keeping manager I assume knocks on the door and asks if we can move room now, which I did. I arrive at the new room and the key given didn’t work so I had to go back to reception to get them to reprogram the key. I go back to the room with the reprogrammed card and when I open the door the room isn’t made. They give us a new room and include a free breakfast in the morning to apologise for the inconvenience. We tried using the iron which didn’t work in every plug. Called reception and they brought us a new one, it didn’t work and then another and still didn’t work. On the third attempt I said I think the first iron may have tripped the electricity and the plugs weren’t working. He went somewhere, did something and it started working again. Because the iron tripped the electricity, water leaked out of it and ruined my husband’s shirt. The next morning, I called and asked what time breakfast finishes and was told 10:30.nI arrive to a locked door. The lady opens, causes a scene to the point where every parton can hear and made me feel so uncomfortable. I left rather without eating.nNever again will we stay in here.
Easily the most disgusting and poor hotel that I've ever stayed at. It hasn't been cleaned or renovated since the 80s. No water pressure in the filthy showers. King bed frame was broken, squeaky and loud. I don't understand how all the reviews are positive. The carpets are disgusting and were barely vacuumed. There is a clear drainage issue, as soon as I turned on the shower, the previous persons soap bubbles emerged. They also then charge extra for parking and breaky, which should be illegal when the rooms are in such a poor state at such a high price.
Very disappointing. Despite advertising off-street parking, we arrived at 5pm to be told that we would have to wait until after 6pm when local workers vacated some parking spots. Still none available at 8pm. Had to park car for the night on street some distance away in metered parking. TV in room would not connect. Every room door banged loudly all night and voices of other guests could be heard clearly until all hours. Room windows sealed making atmosphere stuffy. Fire alarm went off but no message broadcast instructing guests of evacuation procedures. Entire hotel left building but nobody was aware of emergency assembly area. I expected better.
Its best asset is closeness to the theatre and restaurants, though some of the restaurants need to lift their game the Thai place is good.nnThe bed and bedclothes are comfortable. The room setup is the usual type, bathroom on the side as you enter, storage, fridge and kettle on the other side.nnThe place is showing its age, however, in the bathroom, particularly the shower. While the toilet seat is a replacement related mismatch, there is no mistaking this was built when most of the population was much shorter.nnAt 188cm, I was tall for my age but that isn't overly tall now, and the shower head is great for wetting my neck, not so useful for anything above that. Washing hair involves much stooping.nnAnother thing which irks me is paying extra for parking, $10. Once upon a time, it was included simply because most people would drive to a hotel. Not anymore.nnIn summary, if there was something else,bI would use it instead. It isn't that bad, but doesn't impress either except for the amenable staff.
