My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Balmoral on York and loved our stay. The staff could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and please text and the hotel is well situated. The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars was the bathroom in our wheelchair accessible room was not that easy for my wheelchair using wife to use. The toilet is very low and the shower chair was odd. TIP : book directly with the hotel and get free premium breakfast daily.

I will say it is the best of 3 star hotels, worst of 4 star hotels.  Room size is good. Shower is not the best. Breakfast is continental, but you have to pay more for hot food like bacon and eggs.

Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Just showing its age. Could do with a make over. A bit chintzy.

Comfortable and convenient to Launceston CBD Not a new hotel but it's clean roomy comfy and friendly I would recommend it
