A well stocked store. I find the staff helpful. I had an issue with a click and collect a few weeks back where it was meant to be delivered to the South Yarra store but ended up at this store. It was a hike to get there but it was clearly a delivery issue and not reflective of the store. The staff were apologetic even though it’s clear it wasn’t their fault. I’m surprised by the reviews of the store where others are putting the blame on the minimum wage team members as if they have any influence on the business policy or how the Big W website works. Clearly they have never worked in retail and don’t practice common sense.
I placed an order online on Saturday at 8am for 1 thing. It took almost 2 days before they packed the item and by the time they did at 4pm on Sunday, the item was already sold out! I would have gone in to pick it up myself had I known they would take such a long time to pack a simple item
Okay, so I have never had problems here, the hard and efficient employees I truly respect and really appreciate everything they do, Big W is easy to access in the shopping centre, Big W is easy to navigate and always very clean. Overall I had a great experience.
I usually have a great experience at this store but on leaving to pay for my items there was only self serve available and when I asked why a register with a staff member wasn't available........I was told "that they were on a break and there was no one to replace them OBVIOUSLY".........seriously rude as if I should know I tried to ring the store and no answer......... as I wanted to complain, oh well it's on here now for all to see

We went for house and home shopping . And we get all in one place.
Visited Big W while shopping at Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre. The store was full of stock and pleasant to shop in as it was easy to find what you were looking for. Staff were also very helpful when asking a question about a product. Pricing was very competitive and I would shop there again in the future. The store has an enormous range to choose from. Check this Store when at Waverley GardensShopping Centre which I rate highly as it is also an easy Centre to shop.
One of the smaller Big W's I've been into however Waverley Gardens is although an adequate size, in comparison to Fountain Gate or Chaddy it's small. That being said it's a good store. On this occasion I went in for some Manchester. Their range was only limited by the supply chain restrictions at the moment. However I walked out of there with what I wanted and spent less than expected.
I didn't have a coin to put in the trolley, security on the door could not assist. I had to carry a large box out after telling the door security that was what I would have to do just not good enough. I will be taking my business else where on future.
Worst Customer Service ever by Adriana or Ariana! You need to be sacked!! Went to Big W yesterday 23/07/22 to refund/exchange a pair of shoes only to be told by the south asian indian/sri lankan girl at the service desk that no refunds or exchanges are available on clearance products. The conversation was as follows: Me: Why it's not clearly mentioned on the website. Adriana/Ariana: It is definitely on the website. You should have seen it under the exclusions tab and we can't do anything about it. Me: BIG W policies are the worst. A: Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion, you can have yours. But as for myself BIG W policies are not unreasonable. Me: I'm telling you the truth, you guys are the worst. A: Well, you are entitled to have your opinion. Me: I have had issues earlier when I came to swap over a Brilliant Basics clothing item BIG W own in house brand for another size and you guys wouldn't do anything without the receipt. I had to go back home and come back to get the exchange done another day. Kmart would happily issue an exchange/store credit for in house brand items. But BIG W treats you as a thief! A: Well, I am not sure about that, but we can't exchange the shoes. You can try and sell them online or give it to someone. Me: I don't have anyone to give it to that's why I came to you the very next day after the item was picked up as its the wrong size. I then asked to speak to a manager who explained the same thing to me and declined the exchange or refund in a calm and respectful manner saying it was company policy. I left the store saying to the lady manger that BIG W was the most inflexible of all retailers to which the manager didn't reply back. You can see from the interaction that the attitude of Adriana/Ariana was appalling and she didn't apologize or try to defuse the situation by explaining that company policy was just for her to follow and that her hands were tied. She instead chose to argue with me about store policy, belittled me when I mentioned that T&C's should be shown more clearly on the website and I shouldn't have to click on their T&C's link ,tell me that I should have looked properly about their T&C's etc and talk about having my own opinion. I hope she is sacked coz retraining her won't change her attitude. Adriana or Ariana doesn't belong in Customer Service!!
