I was really underwhelmed by the pancakes and latte here. The portion of the pancakes was so small for the price. The iced honeycomb latte sounded like it would be interesting and I was advised it would be super sweet but it was pretty bitter and I didn’t taste anything besides a normal iced latte.  The employees were really friendly though.

It was a hangover day for us lol we ordered what you see in the pic plus 2 cold drinks and 2 hot drinks everything was nice and tasty. Friendly greeting from staff. Fast service considering the place was pretty busy at the time. First time there and discovered the backyard which is really great feature for the Cafe and comfortable. Our order was quite expensive around $90 but very fulfilling. We walked out full bellies and happy

Friendly staff, chill vibes and beautiful looking food. I didn’t have time to stop in so will be back to try the breakfasts asap. The coffee was smooth and tasty. Highly recommend a visit.

2 poached eggs served on small piece of rosti and small piece of bread. You pay extra for small pieces of mushrooms. Nice presentation but it was dry and under seasoned. For $23, the serving is tiny. It was bland and no salt and pepper were provided. I went to get them myself and flies were all over my food. Owner please have houseflies traps especially in summers. It was disgusting having to share food with houseflies. I had to rush through my food while battling to shoo away the filthy insects from touching my food. Unfortunately it was less than ideal experience for me. Staff was friendly though.

Such a cute cosy little cafe, food was delicious and coffee was great too. I ordered a Shakshuka and partner got the truffle mushroom on toast. Very flavorful and perfect for a winter brunch/lunch

Lovely Staff/Service. Didn't get my cinnamon on my cappuccino as asked for.  Sloppy! Not pumping like I remember it to be. Fake atmospheric photos. Nice and private and I was able to communicate with my guest with confidentiality. Did the job, cos no - one else was there except a waitress presumably on her break? Quite sad reality check! At least we supported local businesses!  Parking: Busiest road in Auckland  sometimes. Lucky we went early and were able to get a park right outside.  Wheelchair accessibility: No disability parking in sight!

Not really fair to call it a review, I was here so fast and for my first time. I had a quick coffee and a steak sandwich and it was on point. Staff and atmosphere also great. I'll definitely come againFood: 4/5

I picked Big Beat as a half way point for meeting a friend on my way to airport and didn’t know what to expect... I was really surprised by how good it was here. Coffee was on point and the creamy mushrooms were really good. I did ask for the truffle mushrooms and didn’t really taste any truffle so that was a bit disappointing but it was still great.

Hidden garden cafes on the busy st and beautiful coffee plus excellent customer service!
