My experience dealing with Bicycle Centre South Morang has always been positive. We are lucky to have a local bike shop where the people working there actually ride the area and understand your needs. I've taken my bike there and had work done on a few occasions and was always surprised by the quick turnaround and quality of work. Such a great team. Will be buying my next bike from them and recommended you do the same.
Update, when you get good service you keep going back. Since my 1st review we have added 5 more bikes because of the great quality and service Shannon and his team offers. If I could add another star I would. My daughter is so happy with her new Norco Fluid 4.3+, what an awesome bike for my little bike buddy. I can not thank Shannon and Bret enough for all their help and advice. The Merida you builts for me has been and incredible ride. Really appreciate the shop rides you organize as well as the advise you impart. Keep up the great work guys.
Not a good experience. Went in there to buy a bike for our young fella. We didnt know much about the bike we were after for him, so asked the normal questions. The bearded guy there was so far up himself it wasnt funny. Spoke to me and my wife like we were idiots. Thats ok mate, you pushed us to go to Bridge Inn Cycles in Doreen. Jeff and the staff were fantastic, and we spent our money there. Suggest you do the same if you want a great all round experience.
Bicycle Centre South Morang is my favourite local bike shop. They combine friendly personalised service with a great range, knowledgeable advice and reasonable prices. The bike brands they sell include Norco, Merida, Mondraker, BMC, Rocky Mountain and Apollo. That's an awesome range. Recently they've gotten a huge range of e bikes. I've bought many bikes and parts and accessories here and have always left perfectly satisfied.
Such wonderful and honest service! They are quick and really good at what they do. You get so much information from them, it's awesome!
I recently bought my 5th bike from BCSM 2 road bikes and a mountain bike for me, 2 kids bikes for my son and couldn't be happier. Shannon, Bret and Ed have always given great service and prices. They've always looked after me and my family whether we're buying a new bike, a single tube or preparing to ride from Melbourne to Adelaide. Lucky to have such a great store in our local area.
What a great shop and staff 10 +. STOP BEING KEYBOARD WORRIERS if you have an issue. These shops are not faceless corporates or internet companies. Call them and they will sort things out. This is what they do better. I was prompted to write this review because of another reviewer giving this business 1 star based on price, claiming they were twice as elsewhere. Yeah, maybe twice the price of a kmart bike which is only 1/2 as good and you have to put together yourself, which you will probably stuff up. You will always pay a little more for personal service, professional care and support. If you have an issue with a bike shop bike you have professionals to sort it out. That alone is the biggest reason I buy from a real specialty shop that has real bike people and customer service. Having to return online purchases is sh1t when it comes to bikes, you want that extra care of the person who knows you and puts in the extra effort to sets you upright. Good luck going back to big box brands like Kmart and Big W to get your gears tweaked, puncture repaired or professional advice. STOP BEING CHEAPSKATE SCUMBAGS and help small businesses because when there gone you will regret that. You will talk about the good old days the bike mechanic use to fix your bike.
What a brilliant bunch of guys working at an amazing shop. A little while back I went in with what I thought was a huge problem, the young guy Ian said "no problem give it here" and with that my forks where fixed in 10sec. They did not even charge me or accept my money even when I did to try and pay. With that experience when I decided to buy a new bike yesterday I went back and seen both Andre & Shannon. I asked them a million questions and they were so patient and helpful. My new Norco is on it's way an I know these guys will look after me well after the sale. Thank you guys and I hope those troll reviewer gets the Kama coming their way.
Incredable service from Shannon and Bret. I have brought 4 bikes from these guys and each one has been great, but made better with all the support before and post sale. I especially enjoy the fantastic road and MTB group rides Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday nights. The service truely does not end at the sale
I was impressed while viewing their website, and visiting the store exceeded expectations. Was shopping for my first new helmet in 15+ years. The staff were friendly and engaging, but also smart enough to let me try on a several helmets at my own pace without any pressure - exactly as stated in website video. Once I had selected my "favourite" 2x helmets, I was provided with good advice on fit and protection. I'd done some online research and visited 4x other large bicycle stores before Bicycle Centre - so I'd learnt something about helmets. But what I was seeking, which Bicycle Centre delivered, was knowledgeable guidance on which helmet in my price range best fitted me. And yes, I normally purchase from the business that provides both competitive price and good service - even if it means a return visit. I strongly recommend a visitor to this store if you're seeking great advice on your bicycle equipment, without "sales pressure".
