I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Nike outlet during the release of the Jordan 4 shoes. The staff had clearly prepared for the release, as indicated by the “1 per customer” note placed at the checkout counter. It was obvious the release was meant to happen that day, especially since it coincided with the first day of Black Friday sales week. However, the staff refused to sell the shoes. This was confusing, frustrating, and unprofessional given that the release setup was already in place.nnThe checkout line was over an hour long, yet instead of serving customers, the staff seemed more focused on securing pairs for themselves. I witnessed employees purchasing the shoes during work hours before making them available to the public. Shockingly, the manager was actively assisting staff with their purchases rather than addressing the needs of the waiting customers.nnTo make matters worse, after the store closed, I discovered a newly listed eBay posting for the exact Jordan 4 release, priced at $950. The listing was from a local seller, and given that this store was the only location in Australia to receive this release, it’s hard to ignore the possibility that staff were reselling the shoes for personal profit. Considering the shoes likely cost staff only $100, this is a clear misuse of access and privileges.nnThis entire experience was a huge letdown. It’s unacceptable for staff and management to prioritize their own gain over customer service, especially during a significant sales event. This incident has completely shaken my trust in Nike as a brand.
They do not plan properly for Black Friday weekend. Lines across the entire store, no additional checkouts or hand-held eftpos systems.nRude people pushing in the hour-long lines with no challenge from staff.nnThe “returns” counter sat empty as staff aimlessly stood behind it, instead, this could have been processing sales.nnCheckout staff are professional and nice.
Worst service I have ever received. 3 girls stood around talking while I was waiting on help. Waited 10 minutes trying to find help to no avail so I left. Went back in an hour later in hopes to have better luck and 2 of the 3 girls were standing around talking still and no help again. Where are your managers to correct this behaviour?
Definitely worth checking out and one of the best stores in this DFO. Much better layout then it’s competitors; mens, womens and kids sections are clear to see and distinguish. Great bargains to be found, where the shoes had a 40% discount. I love the shoe aisles where at the top of the aisle you can see what shoes are featured.
I went to this store over the weekend. Im not much of a runner but a guy named Anton was very knowledgable about these sneakers and helped me find the right shoe that would be the most suitable for me. He was very personable and knew his stuff! Thanks.
