Best Friends Point Cook

I’m one of your frequent customers and I always enjoy buying fishes from your store. Today, I visited your store to purchase some guppies for my tank. I totally understand that it is the policy for your staff to ask some pre- purchase questions before selling fishes to customers. However, I supposed this could be done in a polite manner rather than like being questioned or judged as it was exactly how I felt today when I received the service from one of your staff today. After I “passed” those questions, I told the staff which exactly the fishes I wanted as usually your staff are so helpful and patient to get the fishes for me. However, the staff just told me impatiently that she could not catch exactly the fishes but just the colour. I was so disappointed to hear that especially when there were only about 8 fishes in a big tank and I, as a customer, just didn’t understand why I could not purchase what I exactly wanted? To be honest, I always enjoy most of experience in your store, but just not this time.

UNDER 1 MONTH AGO No prof groomer on Mondays atm, so no full grooms of any sort. I have been trying to book several times and been told by staffs they don’t do full groom on Mondays, the day that I don’t work. Lucky for Point Cook, there are many groomers, both mobile and shops. So, do shop around, other groomers are as professional and as dedicated in looking after our precious fur babies delivering top service at the time that we need it and our convenience. Think of it as helping the small businesses of pet groomers in Point Cook.

Staff always try to strike up a bit of conversation and seem to have a real passion for looking after the animals. They're really friendly and their knowledgeable team have always been there to help me give the best care for my pet. I always look forward to our next visit!

My pet Lola loves this place !! She did her puppy schooling here too and absolutely loves it !! A very friendly staff and vets !!

BAD REPTILE ADVICE; GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have frequented this pet store for many years, and have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating for my pet cat's needs. I have always been happy to pay a little bit more because I feel confident leaving the store. However, I won't be going back. I purchased a baby blue Tongue skink from Best Friends point Cook two weeks ago and their 'reptile expert' strongly recommended a red desert sand substrate over any of the barks. I've since learned that sand substrate is possibly *the* worst substrate for a Blue Tongue skink - every single online Blue Tongue community advises strongly against it. It became obvious to me that the staff were simply trying to push old product out the door (they were out of bigger bags and only had 3 smaller bags of sand left, so I assume in hindsight this was a discontinued product) - at the expense of the health of my new pet. They also advised that I would need a smaller ($15) water pool because the skink was so young, but it has no problems getting in and out of the very large pool I already had. I advise going to this pet store if you already know what you need, don't need to rely on staff advice, and are okay to pay more for a clean and friendly approach. However, for speciality pet advice, I strongly recommend finding another source of information.
