3rd January 2024 - 2 StarsnThis is the second visit this year and something in the kitchen had changed. Hot food is cold or barely warm, med-rare steak $42 was well done and dry. Oysters Kilpatrick were as if there was no control on the over powering BBQ sauce. Terrible!nnEverything seems slopped together and left on the counter, whilst the other dishes were delivered to our table, mine came out 5 minutes later, cold. Whole dish was cold.nnAs loyal regulars, I am giving this place the flick for a while.nnOctober 2023 - 5 StarsnReally like this place. Every time we have visited the food is amazing so great work John and team in the kitchen and Steve on deck.nService staff always very friendly and accommodating.nAtmosphere is great, food better and staff welcoming.
The best tavern I've ever been to.nnThe service? Fantastic. The bartender was kind and helpful, the waitstaff were much the same. Fantastic experience being served.nnThe atmosphere? Warm. Inviting. Delightful. Only minor complaint is the corner we sat in had cool white lighting instead of the warm lights throughout the rest of the restaurant, nothing that spoils the mood though.nnThe food? Incredible. We ordered the full rack of ribs, the rump steak and the BBQ wings. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was the best steak I've had in years. The pork ribs were melting off the bone and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The prices were quite reasonable, especially considering the massive serving sizes, I swear the ribs came with a mountain of chips as a side, and 10 wings for $16 was a fantastic deal considering the quality.nnAll in all, 10/10 experience.
JAL and Gus were so friendly and attentive. We had a fabulous family dinner. We were made very welcome. The bar staff were patient with us using our rewards coins. Thanks so much to all the team behind the scene also it is a team effort. Front of house staff are a credit to you . Best family night out in a while
Nice place to go for a family meal we had a tower of all different nibbles n a chaser salad steaks n burger ice place to go nice venue had pokies n keno tab very busy good for functions
