Story

Opened in December 2001 in the beautiful Bay of Islands is Paihia's ONLY backpackers resort: hostel and apartments in one complex.

We are more than just a hostel - with our extensive range of facilities we are a true Backpackers Resort. We specialise in providing:

Great value accommodation: for backpackers, independent travelers, couples, families, small and large groups
A range of accommodation options: dorms, private rooms, fully self-contained studio rooms and apartments
Excellent guest facilities: swimming pool, outdoor spa pool, free WIFI, large BBQ area, communal courtyard, tennis courts, TV and movies, mountain bike hire and more!

After experiencing the recreational activities, a days site seeing, or a night on the town, come home to the lodge and relax in the pool or outdoor spa! Chill out in the courtyard with your fellow backpackers and share a beer (or several) and stories!

Best one and a half month of my life! The Team is amazing and the people there are just loving and welcoming as f****. If you want to have a wonderful time in the Bay of Islands make sure that you stay there. You have free excess to the pool, hot tub and tennis courts and you will definitely make friends for a life time! If I ever go back up there it will be because of this Hostel! Love you guys! It is an awesome hostel! Everybody is super chill including the staff and especially a manager. I stayed here long-term and therefore also got a super price per night! They offer a lot of things including a pool (in a hostel!). The kitchen was nice but maybe a little stuffed at rush hour. I would love to give 5 stars but the service in the long term stays was non-existent :'D . It was no problem for me but it would have been nice if our in room kitchen would have been cleaned or the garbage changed. But we justed used the public kitchen so it was alright! Definitely the place to stay for longer times in Paihia ( also party every night ;-) )

Very good facilities and well worth the price! I (female) got put in with 5 other boys, would be nice to have atleast one other female. Also, there was phones being stolen whilst people slept- so keep your belongings safe and lock the door at night!

Awesome place... have all the facilities... free WiFi kitchen and spacious rooms with balcony.. walking distance from the beach..

Best place to stay in the bay of islands. Really loving and friendly group, the long termers are also super welcoming and fun! Great atmosphere, clean and with a pool, hot tub and tennis court. Recently had a new kitchen put in too :) love you Bay Adventurer!! Xxx
