About

Simple food, done well. Bookings only taken for groups of 6 or more for breakfast or lunch and for any number for Friday and Saturday night dinners.

Story

As the name suggests, we're all about keeping things simple, relaxed and pared back here at Bare Bones Society. There will be no tablecloths, no stuffiness, and no complicated food terms.

We're a place to be comfortable, delivering simple food, executed well by Kym Machin (Brisbane Times Good Food Guide's 2012 Chef of the Year), with terrific coffee from Toby's Estate and friendly and welcoming staff.

Had the scrambled egg and bread; while the scrambled egg was average I quite enjoyed the coffee. Friend ordered a breakfast burger and while it was enjoyable his dish in the end resembled a deep fryer with the amount of oil that was dripping out of the thing. Service was great! They were friendly and helpful and when they forgot an item on our order they kindly gave it to us for free! Plenty of parking around with lots of shops! Great place to have brunch before weekend shopping! The service is great! 5/5 Food is average 3.5/5 Coffee is good 4/5 Parking 5/5

I have been here before and find the service-food-drinks vary each time. This time there wasnt many patrons so service was good. I had a cappuccino and a flat white both were tasty albeit too cool for me.

I had there breakfast burger, I thought there might have been to much mustard and pickles for it to be enjoyable, however, it was covered in well cooked bacon. I was very disappointed with there hot drink (hot chocolate), for nearly $5 I was given a very, very weak hot chocolate that was all gone within four mouthfuls and the chocolate they used wasn't even that great.

Exceptional coffee with the right person driving the machine. Some great menu items prepared with care (some weird ones too though).
