Story

After providing Canterbury with such iconic restaurants as Scarborough Fare, Le Bon Bolli Restaurant and The Crumpet Club, Bamboozle Oriental Fusion Kitchen and Cocktail Bar is the Kraal’s latest hospitality offering to the city. The food style is oriental fusion with strong Japanese and Chinese influences. With plenty of big flavors and delicate presentations, the menu is designed to be shared. With a cool, open decor, the atmosphere is both high energy and full of bustle and will definitely impress. The wine list is comprehensive with a great selection of wines by-the-glass. Went here with friends recently and absolutely loved it! Some great vegetarian options (wish there were more) and plenty of gorgeous food for the rest of the group too. Can't wait to go back!

Terrible food, overpriced, horrendous service and tacky decor. I'm from Los Angeles and visited some relatives in new Zealand. I didn't realize how good we had it for authentic and high quality Asian food in the U.S. if this restaurant is the New Zealand take on Asian food. This restaurant was absolutely terrible. I waited over 30 minutes to be seated despite the restaurant being empty. The service was bad and the food took at least another hour. By the way it arrived, I was starting for a quick bite but I may have been better off with Mc Donald's.

Most of the positive reviews on here are created by fake accounts, please read the negative reviews, they ARE THE REAL reviews made by REAL people. Do you want to eat food that the owner created as he was sitting on a toilet? Then bamboozle is the place for you. If you want some great Asian food, please look somewhere else. They serve the world worst...well I was going to say fusion, but it’s really just some American food. You can get the same thing at your local Macdonald but half the price. So come y’all for the best white trash food on earth. No really you guys suck.

We booked as we were on a road trip around the South Island. Wow the food was stunning and tasty. The cocktails were great. The service was outstanding. Well worth the trip and we plan on returning.

Wife and I went while on holidays. Food was really good and the menu names for their dishes definitely gave us a chuckle. Overall experience was a fun night out. Would recommend to our friends and family if they visit there.
