This is a must do activity in Christchurch. We initially thought we would go on a ride to sightsee and then continue with our day. We were so impressed with the stops and tour guides that we spent the whole day hopping on and off at various attractions. We were thankful to the ticket office for allowing us to leave our pram with them. We hopped on with our 9 month old in a baby carrier and it was so easy to get around.The trams were nostalgic and fun and the operators were entertaining and knowledgeable. This was the highlight of our trip.
Quirky thrill riding the trams through Christchurch. Book tickets online. Redeem at the starting point office. Hop on and off to your hearts-content. Most stop near points of interest or other attractions along the way. Worth it even if only for the thrill of joy-riding!
Christchurch Tram has an old world charms with beautiful interiors with vintage vibes. You can take a day pass and hope on and off - however the places they go are walkable especially if you are staying near the church square.nThe tram driver gives a running commentary of the places and history of Christchurch.nThere are frequent stops, so didn't enjoy the ride that much - better to reduce the stops so that there is better feeling of having a ride. Also the places the tram passes through are ok but not that great - may be a good idea would be extend rides to parts of botanical gardens and also improve the small areas the tram passes through with murals/paintings/flower gardens
Highly recommend!n$40 per person and well worth even cent! You are ensuring these iconic trams and the history remains and continues. The conductors are highly knowledgeable and this is the best way to see the city of Christchurch and learn the cities history! Well worth it and I highly recommend!
Thats was so awesome..nI can't believe in this modernization time there is still and kept the old tram ilke thatnIt's so great to ride and rolling around the city.nIts so quite recommended to take ridenTo having some memories to ride on.
