Very authentic place: Japanese interior, Japanese staff, 5 stars Japanese service and taste of Japan. Squid, miso soup, grilled fish, salads - every dish is full of flavour and super delicious. Portion size allows you to try different dishes at once. The place is small and always full of nice quiet people. Would go there every day if I could.

Authentic Japanese dining here. Very nice, takoyaki is on point and the beef. Also the Orion beer tops it all off. Magnificent.

This is a great choice for Japanese food in Christchurch. The food is tapas-style with lots of small plates for sharing. All of our selections were delicious - agedashi tofu, salmon sashimi, chicken & avocado sushi, grilled fish and grilled eggplant. It was very reasonably priced and BYO is a bonus. The staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. It's a popular spot so if you do't have a reservation, come early or you might not get a table.

Highly over priced food and drink. Food portions are incredibly small and the drink sizing is incorrect. I asked for an Asahi beer 400ml and it got served to me in a glass that says 300ml on the bottom! If you use your credit card they charge an inflated fee and you can't do a split payment if you go with friends
