We are in the Little High Eatery!!! Parking 255 st asaph st. High St Entry next to Madam Woo.

Many years ago the Bacon Brothers signed an agreement to provide the finest quality bacon goods at an even more exceptional price. Today that agreement is still honoured by the Bacon Brothers Bacon Co who utilise delicious crispy bacon and the freshest organic and free range produce to create the best bacon butties in town, every weekend at the Riccarton Bush Farmers market.

Really great burgers! Loved the crusty bun and the bacon. The staff was friendly and unlike what the other comments said, food was served rather quickly, we only had to wait about 5 minutes, but it was not too crowded so take it with a grain of salt. Nonetheless the burger was one of the best I’ve had in my travels.

This place was a little difficult to find, because it is located inside a building that is shared by a bunch of other restaurants. Once inside you'll find a host of other delicious eateries, much like a hipster gourmet food court. I ordered the Big Jim and it included fried chicken, bacon, avocado, and a yummy aioli (a NZ favorite which is a more delicious version of American ranch dressing). I had to remove the fried chicken because I couldn't bite into the burger due to its size, but it was fantastic! I got the fried cauliflower as a side and it was absolutely delectable. They were drizzled with maple syrup which was a salty/sweet combination that made my taste buds flutter with excitement. The guy at the counter was super cool, and gave my husband a discount for having a rad beard. Also, something I thought was extra special was that anything on the menu can be made vegan!

After waiting 40 min for our burgers - which is standard and we are fine with. They hand them over saying they had ran out of avocado! No refund, discount or apology. If we had asked extra avocado, we’d have been charged extra but it seems perfectly fine to deliver something different from order without compensation...

Not a happy customer. I really hope your burger doesn't take 45+ minutes to arrive and then to be told they have run out of chips? Even though people that have ordered after us received chips. Only to find out after waiting another 10 minutes that our burgers get served with chips. But then to my utter disgust i find my tongue tangled around a long black hair. Definitely will not be returning after a dreadful night.

This is a big call but i can honestly say the 'mountain man' burger was the best burger i have ever eaten. Be prepared for a wait (our was 40 mins) but just relax with a beer ,cider or wine the wait is definitely worth it. Great bunch of people and the bear hug was a must do.
