Backpackers World Travel gave me the experience of a lifetime. I had a giant trip up the coast in mind and I gave this poor young lady less than a week to come up with a plan. When I stopped in BWT on George Street the welcoming staff were eager to assist me. Tara begun by asking me what I wanted out of my east coast trip. Afterwards, she took the time to describe each and every stop along the way in detail, made sure we stayed in the "must see" places and drew out a calendar that catered to our needs. After several drafts we created the perfect timeline and overnight she completed all of the bookings for our trip. On a very reasonable budget I must add! I would not have seen as much as I did without booking my trip with a company like Backpackers World Travel. Their expertise and customer service is exceptional and their discounts makes the east coast very affordable. I would recommend Backpackers World Travel to anyone traveling the Australian East Coast or anywhere in Australia for that matter. Thank you Tara and Backpackers World Travel!

Booked my trip with Tara in this shop and she was incredibly helpful as I knew nothing about the East Coast! She even booked all my hostels and bus pass for me too....Great value for money. Would definitely recommend to another backpacker planning to travel anywhere - not just Australia.

A friend and I booked a trip to Tasmania with a friend who worked at BWT. He was awesome enough to hook us up with some great discounts. I was so happy we had chose to book with him at BWT over PeterPans because of this, all until this awful manager came up to him and told him to make us actually pay more after we had already paid in full on the agreed amount...and on top of that, it looked like she was making the other agents feel really uncomfortable. We've booked in other stores and had wonderful experiences, but this was not one I could honestly recommend. The manager Tara does not treat her employees with respect AT ALL and she needs to have her attitude checked immediately.

The staff really takes time to make sure you are 100% happy with your trip! Very kind and helpful!! I have had the best time ever on my trip and everything worked just perfect!! Only recommend booking there.
