Story

Backhouse Legal is a dynamic law firm situated in Fyshwick. Our principal, Angela Backhouse, purchased the firm in 2014 from Rod Barnett. Since then we have moved to bigger and brighter premises and now also have offices in Bungendore and Braidwood. We are accessible to our clients and strive to be the leading commercial and property law firm in Canberra and surround areas. As a small business ourselves, our primary focus is on small business. Unlike most law firms, we do not charge our clients based on the amount of time that it takes us to do the work. We recognise that time does not equate to value, and we implemented a value pricing model at the end of 2016.

Backhouse Legal provides legal services that creates value for our clients. We offer an extensive range of services in both the ACT and NSW for small businesses and individuals. With the experience of seven solicitors at Backhouse Legal, and a great administrative team assisting our solicitors, we can assist with almost any legal matter including conveyancing and property law, all business or commercial transactions, litigation and debt recovery, insolvency, employment law and wills and estates.
