I engaged this company (specifically Mr. Craig Painter) in relation to a fraud case. I made the decision because of the number of good reviews here. Unfortunately,. it was a really bad decision. 
Mr. Painter, in his advice to me (relating to a case of fraud), made an error of over $33,000. That was, in his written advice. 
When I pointed out the error, Mr. Painter stated: "although nothing hinges on this" - wrong. My confidence in his attention to the case hinged on it.
He promptly "corrected it". Unfortunately, his "correction" was also wrong, as he wrote the USD equivalent. So, now he provided me with a document mixing currencies without specifying so. Again, not really trust-inducing. 
So, I am in the situation where I paid about $1k for 1.5 pages of advice from a Special Counsel, and there is mathematical proof that the advice is not correct on a really basic level. Fraud case first issue: how much was the damage? 
I am not sure about others, for me:
If the lawyer cannot even figure out what the damage in the case was,  I have zero faith in their ability to handle anything. We're talking 2nd grade arithmetic here. Also, who mixes currencies in a document without specifying so, in a "correction" none-the-less?
Others seem to have had better experiences. If they are genuine or otherwise, I cannot tell. If Mr. Painter decides to contest my statements here, I am happy to upload screenshots ;)

*Update to the reply by Mr. Painter*
As I specified, the issue was NOT appropriately corrected, and advice was definitely lacking info re "enforcement across borders". The ONE sentence relating to enforcement across borders (in the advice) is:
"[company] does not have a presence in Australia and on that basis, is not able to be sued as there is no legal capacity". 
Here's your own admission that you have NOT provided information re "debt collection across borders":
Me (via email): "You have not informed me what options I have in suing the company overseas"
Your reply (via email):"Advice in this space is most certainly outside the scope of the advice requested".
As there is NOTHING in your advice relating to debt collection across borders, and as you have admitted in a public forum that this was the advice requested, you might wanna refund the money you were paid as you have not provided the services required.

Charlene Barriga is extremely capable and gave me some really good advice about motor vehicle accident injury. She's also really nice and really care about her clients. She's enthusiastic and goes the extra mile to help clients.

From my first call to SHG the staff were responsive and friendly and after meeting with Craig Painter we felt supported.  
For us, our legal  issues were complicated and highly emotive, Craig was understanding of our circumstances and reassuring around the legal processes.
 Craig offered sound advice and worked hard to resolve our legal issues.
I was extremely pleased with the outcome that we achieved that would not have been possible without Craigs professional advice and guidance.
