A short term rental of a moving truck was required on a Saturday. I was unable to find disable rental arrangements elsewhere and Avis were helpful and accommodating. Easy booking process, quick service in and out.
Easy to organise and good value rentals. Returning early or extending a rental was no issue. If they're local to you, then I'd recommend using them.
We hired a car from Melbourne but it was too small. There were no bigger vehicles available. When we got to Canberra, we phoned reservations to try to upgrade, spent ages on the phone to no avail. We went into the local branch and the manager, Robert, could not have been more helpful. Quickly located a replacement vehicle, showed us the quirks of the vehicle and we were soon on our way. Thanks Robert.
FYI, if you're a woman/feminine presenting or sounding in the slightest and they can't find your name for a booking, they'll immediately ask about your HUSBANDS name. That usually means you're likely to be ripped off in another way for your lack of... knowledge. Not the vibe in 2023.
