The vehicle provided was in disgraceful condition. It was so dirty I I couldn't quite believe it. It was full of the last persons rubbish. I tried to call the office to talk about it however was put through to some call center I suspect in Thailand or the Philippines and the staff member could hardly speak English. They couldn't even pronounce my name. I asked for a call back from someone, they promised they would have someone senior call me immediately. Well, that never happened I ended up throwing all of the rubbish out of the car because I had to go to the American Embassy and pick up a client. When they got into the car, their suit pants where covered in dust. I was horrified and humiliated. Don't worry though, I let my client and everyone else I met with over the next two days know exactly the type of service Europcar try to dish up to its fully paying customers.
They are running a scam . Be aware if you are booking on weekend. I booked a van for Friday 7pm to Saturday 7pm. I dropped the car and key in the box on Saturday 5pm but charged me for 2 day. Saying I dropped car on Sunday morning. Will never book from euro car again.
I had the mystery car, which was a brand new Kia suv. Great to drive, great on fuel I done well over 1000kms people at the desk were lovely on pick up and drop off. Great service! Thanks I really appreciate it.
Awesome pick up and drop off service by Europcar last weekend at Canberra Airport! The pick up was very efficient and easy.The Car was clean, and parked very close to the Terminal. Drop off experience was easy.
Avoid at all costs! I had to have the car towed within 12 hours. You wouldn’t want a spare tire in your hire car would you? Wasted hours on the phone, got cut off, diverted and finally told it’s Australia Day & the manager is at home. I can tell you I had better things to do during a family crisis than try & sort this out! Today I attempted to follow up & got told it’s closed because it’s the weekend. At an airport? Not likely. I cannot even begin to describe the level of incompetence & appalling customer service. All I want is a refund. Will I get it? Will they wait for me to give up? Absolutely disgusting on so many levels. Could I get a manager to talk to? No. Could I speak to the rental station direct? Also no. All calls to direct numbers go to call centres. The only good thing was the road side service. They were excellent. Oh, and don’t bother with the customer service email. They just tell you they’re notified the station & you have to wait for a response.
Edit: I followed up through the channel mentioned in the response to this review. They confirmed that they had double-charged me for Roadside Assistance, which was already included in the quoted price, but still flat out refused to refund this. My experience renting was otherwise great, but the lack of support on this issue really left a sour taste in my mouth. I'd suggest for anyone booking to really take the time to check over the agreement thoroughly before signing, and be ruthless in asking questions if you're not 100% sure about anything. Original review: Checked through the invoice and noticed that I was charged in excess of the Guaranteed price quoted in the booking email. I couldn't see where the extra charges came from on the invoice - every line was detailed as included in the original booking email. When I called customer service to ask for an explanation, they couldn't tell me why I was charged extra, and flat out refused to refund the difference or escalate this.
Very easy to pick up and drop off - car was in good condition and nice and clean. Did exactly what it needed to do. Staff at Canberra Airport were pleasant and nice to deal with

I came to airport to pickup the rental car booked at 9pm 24/7/24 but the guy at the desk wants the payment to be made with physical card. When my brother came with his card within like 10mins he shuts the door. Nothing was written on the page and I haven’t seen or asking us to bring a Physical card. So annoyed
