Very glad to have got a van for the weekend at short notice. Van was in good enough condition, and was as conformable as you'd expect. Hassle free to collect, in fact, the staff were very accommodating as I was running a few hours late to collect it. However, they didn't invoice me when I returned the van; they said this was normal and it would take up 3 days to inspect the van and I should have an invoice within the week. Well, over a week later they finally invoiced me, and then it took another week to charge my card. It was just a weird process as other rental companies inspect and accept payment immediately when you return, rather than having a long 1-2 week process. The staff were friendly and helpful, just weird how long it took.
Hopeless. Made a booking for a truck & called 4 weeks later to confirm. Phone does not get answered after repeated attempts. Called another office to find that no booking had been made & no vehicles available for my required dates. Regular company user of Avis vehicles, but not for much longer with this lack of service.
My insurance company organised a hire car for me whilst my own car was been fixed. When I picked it up it was dirty and no staff member came and checked it over. I was told they had originally taken photos and would email them to me. I TOOK MY OWN PHOTOS BEFORE I LEFT AND NO EMAIL WAS SENT THE CAR WAS HIRED FOR 7 DAYS. When I returned the car the same thing happened, not one staff member came and checked if the car. The only thing they asked was did you refuel. FYI If you do not refuel they will charge about $4.35 a litre. I would NEVER use them again....
Franchise owner should be extremely embarrassed. Disgusting behaviour from staff. No understanding of what customer service is and no care from them to even learn. Avoid Avis Fyshwick at all costs!! Even the corporate branch of Avis at the Canberra Airport were disgusted by the actions of the Fyshwick franchise and mentioned they can’t do anything about it even though it’s an ongoing issue. Clearly a money hungry business owner that’s detached with no care for clients, very clear too judging from the last 2 years worth of google reviews!! YUCK
Hired a moving van for the same day, service on pick up and return was fantastic
I recently used their service .. had rent a ute for a day .. Supreet Avis Representative is exceptional .. he guided me so well and will always be happy to come back for more Long dives with them.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Such rude employees that showed absolutely no respect towards customers, in particular female employee. The whole hiring process was made a lot harder and way more difficult than it should have been. Do not recommend that anyone goes near this place. Save the hassle and go somewhere else...
AVIS really went above and beyond to help us last weekend! I called just as they opened on a Saturday morning, desperately searching for a truck as our removalists had cancelled on us and we needed to be moved out that weekend. Everywhere else was booked out as it was a long weekend, but once I explained my situation a staff member at AVIS was able to pull a few strings and get us a truck within the hour. We really don't know what we would have done otherwise! I was too stressed to even think about asking for the staff members name but he was incredibly kind and helpful and we will be forever grateful for him going out of his way to sort something out for us!
Disgusting Customer Service. Tried to hire a truck through Samantha at the front desk, not only was she curt and rude, was completely misleading about the period of hire until I confirmed it. The owners of this franchise would do well to replace the 'face' of this business.
Needed a Truck for a Kitchen Reno. Had to move stuff out to storage. It's not always cheap to hire large vehicles but these guys had the cheapest for our needs! The staff are super friendly and helpful! First interaction and hire was so awesome, when we needed a truck for the return, we didn't bother looking for quotes, we went with Avis straight away and the price was still great! They look after their product. Would recommend to anybody that needs to hire trucks. Thanks heaps!
