I have had many dealings with Daniel Kon over the years and have always found him to be a professional, reliable, knowledgable and overall lovely person to deal with. He has ensured we get the best tenants and completed a detailed reference check on the tenants which I have never experienced with any other agents I dealt with in the past. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

I rented an apartment with this company for a semester. At the end of the lease I was charged $880 for a cleaning service, I contacted them many times saying that this price was way over the price agreed, that was $360. They told me that the cleaning company was charging that amount and didn't even try to help me contact the cleaning service to lower the price. I then realized that the cleaning company and Avant work together, so it was obvious that they were keeping my money. They had my bond, so I had to pay $880 if I wanted to get my $3,000 Bond back.  Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, it was a very tasteless way to end this lease, very disappointed in the way the work.

I had a terrible experience for an apartment that I rented for about 8 months. I had to break the lease due to some emergency and they tried to charge me the full break lease and re-letting fee. When I told the manager Sean Yap that it's wrong and I should be charged on a pro-rata basis, he then changed his mind. After that, to my surprise, they charged me with a $429 cleaning fee provided by a company that's linked to them even when I have cleaned the property to the standard I found when I moved in. I wanted to take them to VCAT but I had to let them go as I was losing money for every single day until new tenant moves in. Overall it was nothing but stress with them and I would recommend not to use this agent.

This place sucks!! I tried to apply for a property I was VERY interested in through them and had emailed multiple times about my application and also called to let them know that I was struggling to upload documentation. I got NO email replies, even though in my emails I had asked for a confirmation that they were receiving my emails. NOTHING! When I called, Linda just told me to “put it in a new application online”. I had tried calling on multiple occasions and there was no answer!  Thank you, Linda, so much for your LACK of help. This company is useless and by the sounds of it overcharges cleaning fees!

Avant is one of a few honest agencies I have dealt with in the past. Keep up the good work!
