I went to Stoddard Rd Motors to get a warrant and some advice on my car. Having had a bad experience at another mechanics and being ripped off, I was nervous that I would be seen as a "target" and be ripped off again. The staff at Stoddard Rd Motors were extremely professional, well presented, respectful and knowledgable. I had every confidence in what they were telling me and advising me was correct and true. I will be back and will be recommending this workshop to everyone!!!!

Took my car here for a service and when I drove it away it had speed wobbles, an issue it had never had before. I didn’t have the time to take it back straight away, and when I did go in to get it fixed (along with another part to fix) they quoted me over $400 for a simple job - my new mechanic quoted half the price. Ended up paying them $50 just to get my car back with absolutely no work done on it. Overpriced and not worth the trouble!

Under no circumstances should you attempt to get a Warrant of Fitness here. I was quoted over $1300 worth of repairs required to pass my WOF which I promptly passed on, then drove my car directly off their lot to the local VTNZ and went straight through for an immediate pass. Shannon provides great service at the desk, but that's where it ends unfortunately.

I felt these people ripped me off by not advising me of the total job cost at any time before the final presentation of the invoice and by letting the job stretch out unduly. If you're thinking of using their services I believe it would be wise to require a firm job quote before letting them start work on your vehicle. My experience was definitely contrary to the "no surprises" claim on the website.
