Boho vibes inside, fun laid back energy but very clean and tidy at the same time! We also had a bathroom in our room which was so nice. The staff were exceptionally friendly, both with activity recommendations and with saying hello and striking up conversation. Located by the wind rod which was whimsical and easy to navigate back to the hostel after adventuring.
This was my first time living in a hostel in NZ and it was absolutely the best. Yes, the bar next to it is noisy on the weekends until 3 am but they had already texted us in advance about it and we didn't mind! The rooms were warm and cozy and the services and facilities were spot on. Special shout-out to Chris for welcoming us and showing us around, making us feel like we were at home.
There is a bar next door and plays very loud music till 3am! We stayed on a Saturday night, so not sure if it’s just a Saturday thing. But be warned!nnGreat room though, pretty good price. Pretty tidy. Only would recommend if you have super ear plugs normal ear plugs didn’t even drown out the noise!nnNice to be in the city though, and close to lots of things.
Great hostel, friendly and helpful staff. Ample space in the rooms to place your items, reported an issue with water flow from the shower head and it was fixed the next day.
Extremely kind host! He helped me store my bag overnight, and I’m so so appreciative! Lovely environment and energy in the hostel.
