Absolutely loved staying here ..nDouble bedroom was very small but that didn't bother us.nBed was so comfortable I'd of been happy to swap it with my one at home lolnSheets and towels lovely and clean .nLoved the feeling of the place and impressed with books and games at hand if you wished to indulge yourself.nToilets nice and cleannKitchen and laundry I didn't use .nI will say there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the entrance.nLoved the fact theres a bar/restaurant right next door that I was so impressed with.nWould I stay again.... DEFINITELY
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel has a cozy, private home vibe, which I really like. The washing machine is free, the dryer costs only 2 dollars, and everyone gets a towel. That’s such a great perk for backpackers! The lady at reception was so nice and friendly, and one of the hostel staff gave me some really good recommendations for New Plymouth.nnThe only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of one of the male staff who felt the need to comment on my height. I’m neither a giant nor do I need to put up with stupid comments like that! What makes people think they have the right to comment on other people’s bodies or appearances? Your opinion doesn’t matter, and if you have some kind of complex, don’t take it out on others. ;nnDespite that, I would still stay here again.
Fantastic service and location. I showed up with no booking and got a dorm which wasn't full, this was in September. I met some like minded people who will be forever connected now, even climbed the mangorei track trailhead with said people and it was a great experiance which will be never lost to a memory. Would recommend 100%. Plenty of food options nearby with the sea in view from rooms.
If you are looking for a cheap and good option, this is the place! The quality-price rate is good, the rooms were ok, depending of the type you can share bathroom or you can rent with a private one.nThere is a bar restaurant below the hostel that can be a bit noisy for you but honestly I slept deeply that I couldn't hear anything nThe staff is very kind and friendlynBtw there is a beautiful cat
