Absolutely loved this restaurant. Amazing variety of entrees, seafood options and steak.nnAtmosphere is cosy and elevated and service is friendly.nnThe crab spaghettini and the mac and cheese is a must and recommend all of the sides! Really can’t go wrong.nSteak cooked to perfection and great quality. Will definitely be back.
Angus and Bon delivered a great dining experience on a Wednesday night. Atmosphere was fairly nice, and staff were quite helpful and attentive. We were initially sat next to loud and rowdy guests, which after requesting, staff graciously reseated us.nnThe food was quite tasty, but nothing unbelievably standout. Our favourite was actually the stuffed eggplant, which had a great combination of flavours. House baked bread was as what you’d expect from bread, and the wagyu baby fat potatoes were sadly a tad dry and lacking any texture. The bone in sirloin the wanderer was actually quite nice, with the sauces they offer on your plate allowing for flavoursome experimentation. Overall a great experience.
Me and my girlfriends went there for some snacks and wine.nnThe atmosphere was so cosy and intimate, interior was chic!nnI particularly loved the dessert…oh so delicious!nThe selection of wines were absolutely great as well.nnThe service was alright when they were busy..but one waiter was very attentive and made sure we were ok.nnWould love to be back and try their signature steaks.
Tonight was our first time trying Angus & Bon, and it was amazing! Toby was so lovely and made our night even better—thank you for the great service!nnWe came specifically for the steaks, and they were cooked to perfection, full of flavour. The lobster mash and carrots were just as delicious. And of course, the drinks were spot on. Big thanks again to Toby and the bartender for tweaking the cocktail for me, it was perfect!nnWe can’t wait to come back—safe to say we’ve found a new favourite steak restaurant!
After hearing many recommendations about this place being home to the best steak in Melbourne, I had high expectations but unfortunately, it did not live up to the praise.nnWe ordered the Pure Black Wagyu medium rare. While the doneness was correct, the exterior was badly burnt, which overshadowed the quality of the meat. The same issue occurred with the eye fillet ,again, the outside was charred and unpleasant. The fish dish was also underwhelming and did not taste fresh.nnThe highlight of the night was the Blue Spanner Crab Pasta flavourful and perfectly cooked. It was so good that we decided to order a second pasta dish, but sadly, that one turned out to be overly sour and inedible. The Lobster Mashed Potato was tasty, but it couldn’t make up for the inconsistency across the rest of the meal.nnAs for the service, most of the staff were friendly and attentive. However, one staff member, a lady with short, slightly curly blonde hair and glasses, left a terrible impression. She was extremely dismissive, difficult to get the attention of, and came across as unhelpful and unfriendly. We ordered green tea and had to wait over 20 minutes before following up with her. She then disappeared for another 10 minutes, and we still never received it.nnWhile some elements of the meal were enjoyable and the majority of the staff were great, the inconsistent food quality and the poor service from one staff member made the overall experience disappointing. There are definitely better dining options in Melbourne.
