Ladro TAP is an Italian Eatery + Bar I Wood-fire Pizza I 15 TAPS of beer + vino I We recycle 100% of our organic waste + keep 60,000 rooftop bees!

Story

Ladro is famous for making great authentic pizza in the wood-fire oven, using the finest ingredients from artisan producers and the best Italy has to offer. But the rest of Ladro's menu focuses on modern Italian dishes, sometimes with a local twist. Being a sustainable restaurant means Ladro recycles 100% of organic waste in compost, keep hives on their roof to make honey, make some of their own wines and reduce bottles with eco-keg mineral water, beer + vino. Breakfast, lunch and dinner you can drop by for a drink, a snack or feast! Bookings welcome....oh, and we also have a 24 hr license for 200 guests, so we do a great event as well!

Ordered delivery: first time eating from here actually, unfortunately the pizza was soggy all in the middle, the garlic bread tasted more of lightly herbed butter then actual garlic and they forgot to put in the dessert I ordered. When I finally got the dessert the dark chocolate was so raw ch that it overpowered the whole dessert, undecided on the pop rocks mixed through. I think the pizza would be fine if order and eaten at their restaurant and I know they have a nice cocktail menu and staff are usually so friendly.

Pleasant place to relax with friends. Good music but not too loud. Good service from friendly staff. Tasty pizza. Good range of beers and other drinks.

Food - 4 Service - 0 From Brisbane and decided to have breakfast here because it was near our hotel. There was an Omlet of the day on the menu so I asked what was in it. The waiter didn't know and had to check. I was told it it had onion and cheses and something else. I asked if it could be made with tomato mushroom and rocket instead. The waiter checked with the cheff and the answer was flat out no. On top of this, I was made to feel as if I was very difficult and quite an inconvenience to them. I ended up having eggs on toast with rocket. I asked if the toast could be wholemeal. The waitier did not know what wholemeal bread was. Yes, you read that correctly, the waiter did not know what wholemeal bread was. Again he said that this was not possible and looked at me as if I was very difficult and it was painful to serve me. The eggs on toast was good but overall I felt like an inconvenience for them. The waiters and cheff have absoltule no interest at all in putting in any extra effort or going the extra mile. At the end we asked to split the bill and he simply halved the bill rather than having us pay for our individual items. I didn't say anything, I couldn't bring myself to ask them to split it properly. I assumed the answer would be no anyway.

The definitive place for genuine italian meals in Melborne. The meals are reasonably priced, and every meal can hold its own weight in flavour! If you can't choose a meal from the extravagant menu, all the specials are delicious.
