Story

Electric is a roomy haven of luxury and style. Perched above street level on the eternally intriguing Chapel Street, Electric is part fashion house, part exclusive club, but mostly, Electric Ladyland is all about comfort and class.

The main room features inviting a myriad of red leather lounges, stylish classic archways, and a grand central island bar leading to a breezy balcony, making Electric the ideal destination for anything from a laidback mid-week sip to the debauchery of the weekend. Make your selection from a range of boutique beers, fine wines and champagnes, and masterfully crafted cocktails.

The cocktail list is seasonal, so you can rest assured that no matter what time of the year, or what day of the week, the bar will always be able to satisfy your senses. Trading hours are 5pm - late 7 nights per week and we are available for functions every night of the week. (Please note full hire of venue is available only Sun-Thurs)

Easily one of the most racist places I have experienced in Australia and they have a good competition. We arrived in batches as we were a big group and were waiting in queue like the rest . When we were close to the entrance the security guy pulled my friend out and said he is not allowed to go in but the rest can. The moment we asked what’s wrong he said ‘ okay all 3 guys out but girls can go’ . My friend politely asked what is the reason for the refusal and he said I don’t have to tell you that. Later he said because my friend appears drunk and he can’t explain how he made that decision . We were well dressed , calm and the best part is the person he pulled out is the only one who wasn’t drinking at all.nOnly common thing we had was we are all brown.nWhen he was called out on his behaviour, he showed no remorse and said take my badge number 41 and do what you can.nThis is Australia.nIt’s not New Zealand or America. Whatever that means . I know there is a good chance this review will be ignored my the management but I’m writing this so other people can be made aware how they are treating everyone out there. There are more people who have written about the same issue and I’m shocked that they are still in business . It’s 2024 guys, we need to stand up to these bullies.nHe told my friend to have some water and come back in 45minutes which we did just to inform our friends upstairs in the bar as we couldn’t connect to them through our phones. Had to pay entry as it’s forced and they click your photo without your consent before entering.nWe all left eventually which was a big loss for them because we were more than 15 people and the locals will ensure never to visit this place again. I’m hoping I will manage to warn as many people as I can.
Yo this place is pretty weird. I came here w some friends and I was excited because I know Dua Lipa came here once. The ambience of the venue is great and the music on the night I came was fine chill/dabce house but not that good. The thing that got me was the clientele. Some dude in the bathroom accused me of being a homogsexual, and I am bisexual, but I flipped it on him and said I thought he was a homosexual and he got offended. It was just weird.
This place is straight-up disgusting. The bouncer at the entrance is blatantly racist—turning away Asian people for absolutely no reason while letting others walk right in. No explanation, no excuses—just pure discrimination right at the door.nnIt’s 2025, and somehow this club thinks it’s acceptable to let racism dictate who gets in. If you’re Asian, don’t even bother showing up—they clearly don’t want you there. And if management is okay with this kind of behavior at the front door, it says everything you need to know about what kind of establishment this really is.nnAvoid this place at all costs. Racism isn’t a “bad night” or a “misunderstanding.” It’s who they are.
Watching your cocktails being made in front of you is always a vibe!nnWe’re always on the hunt for a good cocktail, and this iconic spot did not disappoint.nnMost of their cocktails were delicious. Whether you like refreshing, spicy, or bold flavours, there’s something for everyone. Our favourite was no doubt the Quinceton Tarantino—a very approachable choice that’s light and crisp.nnIf you love a rich and smooth dessert-like cocktail, we highly recommend their Jaded Cadillac, made with housemade pistachio orgeat and cream. It’s easily one of the best sweet cocktails we’ve ever tasted. I was here several times but tonight was kick out by a blonde short hair lady who push into me and my mom, I was guarding my mom as she was pushed and about to fall. That lady suddenly called to the security guard to get me downstairs, the security immediately come and told me what was happened I can tell him when I fellow to downstairs. Then he just ignored and told me to talk with someone else manager or who ever. I talked to him and he said there might be a misunderstanding but still couldn’t get in which is I don’t it but only an apologize from the blonde lady. Don’t get anything, just have to leave : without any apologies.
