My partner and I bought a Suzuki Swift from this car yard couple of weeks ago. We dealt with Mark who seemed to be a nice guy at first. When we took the car for a test drive we noticed a few things that would effect road worthiness including mechanical and body. One of the main defects was a screeching noise when engine starts. Sounded like a loose, worn or dry starter motor belt. Front and rear bumpers were loose due to previous collisions. These are things we just noticed. Little did we know the car had major mechanical issues. We asked if we could take it to our mechanic for a once over before we buy and they refused. Sale was pending those items and any other RWC items to be fixed and noted on sales contract. Mark assured us all will be fixed and we had 28 days after buying it to rectify any issues that might've been missed etc. When we bought the car, the screeching noise was still there and the bumpers were just put together with duct tape! They assured us that all was good, starter motor was good and duct tape can be taken off later once bumper bar was set in place. After we bought the car we took it straight to our mechanic and he told us the car is not even worth half of what we paid for. There were so many issues with the car and their mechanic hadn't even bothered to open up the rear brake drums to make sure they were road worthy which they weren't. It's amazing that the car even passed a roady worthy test! We took the car back and demanded our money back. They asked we pay for $600 odd for roadworthy items that were presumably fixed, their admin fee and the Vicroads stamp duty and transfer fees! We basically paid for their costs and then they put it back on sale the next day for the same price!!! Be aware of these guys, do not trust them. We won't be going back there again!!! We're surprised they are still operating considering they are doing dodgy RWCs!!!

I am a professional investigator who had the following experience:
Bought a Falcon ute (Reg. RRL380 – VIN: 6FPAAAJGCM2P77314) from these guys for $3500. It took 7 days for the RWC to be organised and completed. Had the RWC emailed to me prior to making final payment. The RWC noted faults that had been 'fixed' including brake pads, rotors, tyres etc. Spoke to the mechanic and the owner of the vehicle tester issuing the roadworthy who both assured me everything was in order. Paid the balance and organised to collect the vehicle the following day. Drove the vehicle home to SE suburbs having to change a tyre on the way. Dropped the vehicle to my mechanic at 7:40am next morning for a check over. My mechanic listed 14 unroadworthy items and 4 other faults. Unroadworthy faults included (but not limited to):
-	Excessive play in the rear axle bearings
-	Leaks in the sump plug; extension housing; rear diff housing; power steering rack
-	No cover on the LPG tank which hadn’t been tested since 2006 (by law has to be checked every 10 years)
-	Holes in tyres either plugged with silicone or fitted with inner tubes.
My mechanic told me to return the car and advised at approximately $3000 - $4000 it was uneconomical to repair this car (he charged me $55 to look over the car and wasn’t trying to get any work from us on this car). All Star Cars collected the vehicle from me and repaid the $3500. The car was back on car sales within days. BE WARY!!!
