Brought some jewellery at Alex brothers. Not only was there jewellery beautiful the staff super friendly and very helpful with what I was looking for and I was very happy with my purchases. If you are looking to purchase jewellery. I highly recommend them. Really happy
Very poor customer service. The sales woman was racist. The sales woman just started making racist comments once I showed her that the 9carat gold ring was overpriced beating the price of a 22carat ring including craftsmanship. Will never shop again and also make sure none of our friends lose their money here. Previously I purchased two earrings from here and the experience was different. Outrageous behaviour of the sales people will tank their business if not now in near future.
Terrible customer service, do not recommend them! I had a small timeline to make purchases for a Christning which is on this Sunday 21st of October. On the 15th of October, I was assured by Christine, the sales woman in the store, on my first visit to Alex Brothers Jewellers, a diamond cross I was purchasing for the Christening could be adjusted, this was confirmed by the jeweller after the sales lady went out the back to check and asked him if it can. I also purchased a adjustable chain to go with the cross. I was informed the adjustment would take several days so I left the items and paid in full for both items. I walked away really delighted and felt I was purchasing a lovely gift for my Godchild. Today, the 19th of October, I made the long drive back to pick them up, I was served by another sales lady who couldn't find the items and spent at least 5 to 10 minutes looking. She then went out the back to find the jeweller still had it....... Dissapointingly and in disbelief I was then told by the jeweller: 1. The adjustment could not be made to the cross as the only way it could be done was from the beginning when they make the cross........ My question is why did he say it could initially???? They had my phone number, couldn't they have phoned me to let me know that it actually couldn't be done???? 2. The adjustable chain I picked, spending time to do so on my first visit is no where to be found.....then Im told the amount I paid is not for adjustable chain but for a fixed...conveniantly there is no receipt in their books to clarify, so again, dissapointed I accepted the fixed chain. 3. On my first visit I asked Christine what boxes do you have so I can select a simple one for the packaging of the gift. Today another sales person put the necklace in the largest cardboard box with a huge logo on it. I requested for a box without a logo and she said this is all they have..."All their boxes have logos on them" I corrected her by saying last time I was here I requested to see the boxes in case I didnt like them and to make a purchase of something that was suitable and I was shown other boxes without a logo.... Once I told the salesperson this she pulled out an appropriate box. Why did she lie over a box???? What is there to gain??? I feel like I have been had by Alex Brothers Jewellers as they: - claimed and pretended they can do something that they actually never intended to, for a sale, - inconvenience the customer regarding travelling too and frow to pick up the item, I could have just taken all the items on the first visit as nothing was altered - dissapoint the customer with something they never intended to purchase, the cross and the chain - deny they have boxes without logos...why? - and dont apologise to the customer!!! Needless to say, I wont be back.......
Brought my 18k gold chain in for a repair. Learnt my lesson for leaving the pearl cross with the necklace whilst getting repaired. Not only was a pearl lost/removed/broken off in their possession they then charged me $50 to replace the pearl. What really made me upset is that I was sent a photo of what the new pearl would look like on the cross, I was happy with it and was happy to go ahead with the repair until my husband picked it up and brought it home and the design of the cross was changed and didn’t match the photo they sent me to review! What could Of been done to avoid this is a phone call explaining to me what work will be completed to repair this piece prior with my approval. I called 3 times during the repair to see how it was going and if it could be explained to me how they were repairing it as it took 3 weeks. But each time I was spoken to with disrespect and sarcasm. It’s even more upsetting that every time I call to speak to someone about it .. they claim they have no idea what I’m talking about but then tell me off with information they known regarding my situation. On top of that I can’t get a word in as I’m constantly being talked over. I’m so disappointed in the customer service and result in my repair / redesign I didn’t ask for. I strongly recommend not to have any repairs done at this business. I now need to spend more money to have it fixed elsewhere because I feel I’m getting no where with Alex Bros sales assistances. Shame !!
Received my order today and so happy!! The quality of my cross is amazing.. love it!! And thank you to Maria for your outstanding customer service and communication.. will definitely be back and highly recommended!!!!
Went in today and was so pleased with my purchase and the customer service. I purchased a necklace for myself and for my husband and son. My necklace and my sons had to be altered they did this in half an hour as there is a jeweller on the premises. I was served by Maria who was lovely. Good customer service is hard to come by these days. And shopping with a 3 year old for jewellery is not easy but I was impressed with Maria’s patience and politeness. Thank you for my gorgeous jewellery.
I purchased 2 Christening crosses however changed my mind as i am very indecisive at times. I was a litte stressed thinking i would be stuck with my purchase however the ladies in the store were very patient with me and let me exchange for something else. Their products are very good European quality and well priced. I would be confident and comfortable to shop there again. Thank you.
I visited the store last week to buy a cross and chain for my godson's christening there was a huge range of products which had both affordable prices but also top quality products. I was so pleased with the product i bought as well as the service. The staff was very helpful and kind. I had visited multiple jewellery stores searching for this cross but the quality of the products are incomparable with this store. I would definitely recommend this store and i will be visiting again!
ZERO STARS - UNPROFESSIONAL JEWELLERS I purchased a chain from this jeweller and after 6 months there was discolouration in the gold chain - which meant the "yellow" had worn down to a silver colour throughout the chain. I live interstate so I contacted Alex Bros after I had the chain examined on my own accord and was told the chain had been mixed up at the factory and I was given a white gold chain which was meant to be coloured as yellow gold. I had to constantly call and message to follow up on updates of this chain. I had left clear instructions via text message as to which address to send the chain to and somehow they used a different postal address which meant I needed to waste my own time going to pick this chain up as I wasn't at the "incorrect" address to sign for it. I asked for a refund of the postage fees spent sending the chain back in the first place and they refused claiming that the chain had chlorine damage even though they had originally a different story to how the chain was faulty. Once I received the chain they had replaced it with a completely different chain to the original one. Their excuse? "That's what the manufacturer sent us". That's between them and their supplier, if you are a professional business you would take it into your own hands as it reflects onto your business not the manufacturer as I have no contact to them, which means they should have been cautious in making sure the replacement was correct. This was disgusting, my experience is absolutely appalling. Every time I contacted the store I spoke to 4 different staff members which made the communication between each even worse than it was from the beginning. They finally agreed to a refund of my chain, which again is more time wasted on my behalf chasing this up constantly. Their service is appalling and never seem to have an apology at hand because they will always make 10 excuses until they can't any longer.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! If I could give no stars I would. They are rude and make promises they can’t keep but are happy to take your money and not refund your deposit. We ordered a cross for our godson. The one in store had a hole in the gold so they promised to have a new one made without the hole. When we went to pick it up the hole was still there just smaller. We decided we would go elsewhere but they refused to refund us our $200 deposit. They didn’t even call to say it had arrived, we had to calm them. I’ll be sharing my reviews far and wide so that no one purchases from this company! So upsetting.
