Stayed last night, based on other reviews we thought we would have a worse stay, however we had a good sleep in the bed, nice & comfy, & the room itself was tidy & reasonably clean. It is disposable bedding & towels but I personally didn't have a problem with it, can always bring stuff from home if you do. Was all clean & don't mind staying here again in a weeks time Owner was also very accommodating. Has all the essentials so was a good stay
It was clean It was Very Basic and looked so promising. However... Bed covers and sheets were not cotton. Towels and facecloths not towelling but disposable. Only small hard soap in bathroom. No shampoo or conditioner for showers. Tea and coffee with four cups. No hot chocolate. No milk! Jug, toaster, microwave and fridge set on cool, not very cold though. One small pot - no hob No cutlery, or plates Heater. It's summer in Auckland - no fan! This made it incredibly unpleasant... TV - this was placed between the bed and door a 2 foot space and the wardrobe was behind it - so we could not use the storage. Two of the windows had stays so we could safely leave them open, but not the rest... It smelt strongly of smoke... Kitchen window nearly fell off when opened This was finished off by people fighting in the next room, and then early again the next morning. So sad as things could easily have been improved
Location was easy to get to - close to the motorway and quick to travel into Auckland CBD. Room size was also reasonable value for money with two double beds and a couch. Kitchen was good with a microwave, fridge, dishwashing liquid, kettle & mugs provided. Bathroom was clean. The bedding was extremely basic, not proper bedding - almost like what you would get in a hospital sort of material. Same with the towels - would HIGHLY recommend bringing your own towels because they were also the disposable kind and didn't dry properly at all. Bring bedding if you can fit it in your luggage - definitely bring pillow cases. That being said, the beds were comfortable. Overall, was suitable for an overnight stay in Auckland as it was close to where we were going, but probably wouldn't stay there again.
One star is too much for this place. WARNING do not go here. We couldn’t even stay there, arrived after driving from Wellington to find a room with no cutlery, tv gone, broken window in bathroom and no wifi as advertised. Not to mention there was no proper bedding, was all disposable materials. Towels consisted of large paper towels, disposable aswell. Overall I can’t speak of the experience as we didn’t stay, at least we got our money back and were allowed to find accommodation elsewhere. The advertising was false and please read all the reviews before booking here
i cant if it is we saying the one of a good place because i was seen when im visit to one of my freinds and feel lonely!Rooms: 2/5
Worst place I've ever stayed in. Shower didn't work, neither did the lights. Every time room service came in they did nothing to clean up other than empty the bins. It's as if the health inspector has been delaying his trip here because he knows it'll make him loose faith in the New Zealand hospitality industry. The walls are paper thin and you can here every whisper. I'm surprised they didn't steal our property when we were away. I legit would feel more comfortable staying in Otara than this what I'm sure is a former meth lab. The only positive is the electric blankets but that doesn't matter because the sheets are stained in sperm and mucus anyway.
Not Desirable! Had stayed 2 nights and was the most uncomfortable two nights at staying at a hotel/ Motel. Way below average standard of service and room cleanliness, ill equipt of the basics in the little mini kitchen ie plates, glasses, cutlery etc, well at least the sheets were clean. It may also pay for me to comment for those looking for accommodation in Auckland, NZ, this motel is situated in a affluent suburb of the city but don't be fooled this motel is old has been around awhile and may house underprivilaged temperary tenants subsidised by the NZ government My observation. Most definately not worth $150nz a night. I will only give it a 1 star for the "adventure" of staying there :-.
Staffs is nice, but the room that was given to us, had a broken curtain, dirty bed sheets that’s plain white, meaning by we could see the dirty dust, and dirt on it and in it. The broken curtain needs to be fixed ASAP, please don’t let it stay there, and also please leave the windows closed when it’s not rented by someone, or reserved by someone that hasn’t arrived yet. When a new day starts can someone please be at the reception desk as early as 7or8 o’clock. Plus can someone please, clean the rooms when they have left the perimeter and gone somewhere in New Zealand. Overall that’s a 1 Star due to the expensive prices of the rooms. Tbh not worth staying there for $170. And please do much more better than this.
