Woolworths The Valley

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Woolworths. The cashier, an older woman with white hair and black glasses, displayed clear racial discrimination. As an Asia family, we were treated coldly, without a smile or greeting. When my child politely said “Hi and thank you,” she showed no reaction and completely ignored us. However, the white customers behind us were welcomed with warmth, smiles, and friendly conversation.nnSuch behavior is unacceptable, especially in a company that should value diversity and inclusivity. I hope Woolworths takes this issue seriously and provides appropriate training to ensure all customers are treated with respect and kindness, regardless of their background.

The 40% chocolate biscuits are the best, with a good range of buns and breads. Usually get a decent bag of 6 rolls for burgers.nnEasy as self check out in and out under 5 minutes

Tonight we came into store, of cause their was technical issues happening, but the team had it on lock. Great service and friendly checkout operator. But thumbs down when I walked out to my truck to see one young mãori boy who battled the weather to get in the trolleys as they were backed up in all bays. So myself & my son helped your attendant retrieve the trolleys. But as a parent I think it disgusting that this young man was outside by himself in the rain, for H&S reason he should've had a buddy with him the helping, its very dark outside and I tell yah cars don't stop until it's to late. My experience tonight in that carpark I nearly got hit twice by careless drivers, so please think about safety before sending someone out there on their own.

Are we packing our own groceries now at normal checkout,, I have to every time I go in?nUpdate 2 years later 2025nIt is so rude to turn your back on a customer at checkout while still there collecting groceries, just because transaction is done doesn’t mean I get fobbed off!

In the store today. Bought a hot chicken. What's going on there, no more heatproof/leakproof bags. Told by a staff member that's how it is now and they are not allowed to help customers with any bags. Checkout lady also said yes, they do leak, not good for health and safety hot chicken in a normal bag.nBad customer service...nBought recently hot cross buns. Terrible quality, no flavor. Very dry and unappetizing...
