Woolworths Karori

It’s Countdown, clean and well-appointed, but this aspect alone is absolutely heartwarming and I commend the establishment for providing fruit for kids with their parents. At first I saw my son start peeling open a banana, and I said “You little you need to pay for that first!”nnBut he said “But dad, they have fruit for kids over here. Look!” And he showed me the sign that explained exactly that. I’ve never seen this before and am just super impressed by the gesture. So on top of being a nice supermarket, they’ve done a nice thing for children.

The range is small due to the small size of the mall. However, the staff always give great customer service! From the time to my car broke down when I was on my way to collect a click and collect order, to today when I bought the wrong bulbs and needed to swap them for the right ones, the staff have always been very understanding and helpful.

The only reason we shop here is because we sometimes can't make it out to Crofton Downs. It's good for the basics but has poor selection. The staff are very nice and friendly, and it is larger than the neighbouring new world. but the overall experience is pretty bad. Would be great to see karori get a proper sized countdown at some point.

Clean, quick, friendly and easy parking. Good specials and a fancy Onecard app too. They sell toilet rolls & food too It had a refurb not so long ago 2022 so it is maintaining its smartness and cleanliness, and staff are as helpful as ever. Prices are worrying high so I can confirm this is not the best value. Good but pricey still.
