Amazing service and excellent layout of the store. Easy to navigate through the aisles

Bad customer service.Today when I went to shop there with my gift card a blonde lady was at checkout. When she asked about the balance I said I don’t know exactly what’s remaining , then she started making irritating faces and was being disrespectful instead of maintaining a professional demeanour and do her job.

Very slow assistance on the self, checkout, you can’t even do anything else while you wait for their approval, e.g scan your other items…. Bunch of grandmas rather be saying hello / hugging to their pals than helping the customer…. If it was teens doing this they would be harshly criticised ‍

Not my usual supermarket so had difficulty finding some of the items in store. Plenty of trollies available as well as ample parking. Aisle are very narrow so hard to stop and look as other shoppers found it hard to pass. Checkout experience great, the young lady on the checkout was friendly and efficient.nnWheelchair access.

Joining the Countdown points club is well worth the effort to gain the reduced prices and the advertised discounts plus gain the $15 vouchers when you have enough points. You will need to check costs carefully for good buys. The staff are excellent and always helpful. During Covid-19 the Upper Hutt store has been exceptional meeting the needs of the local community and wider afield.
