Woolworths Hornby

I just wanted to say how lovely the team at Hornby Woolworths are. Every time I visit, I’m greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness that truly makes the shopping experience a pleasure. The staff are always helpful, polite, and go out of their way to assist, whether it’s finding a product, offering a cheerful chat, or simply making checkout smooth and easy. It’s clear they take pride in their work and care about their customers. It really makes a difference. Thanks for being such a welcoming and positive part of the community!

Very large and modern store. Clean inside. Prices are generally OK and you have multiple options for everybody's budget. Big parking lot with free parking. Only downside, and reason for the missing star in my review is that they were out of eggs, and this was the only thing I really needed. However this was Maybe because I was late

Oops, this is an old review that wasn't posted, but here it is anyway.nFor a big city, Christchurch stores have such a pitiful selection of goods.nThere's certainly very little choice.nYou either don't stock all the brands varieties or flavours, don't stock it at all, or worse, what you do stock is out.nTropical Raro.nNo lime. No raspberry. No lemonade. No blackcurrant.nNo idea!!!nAnd to run out of a product?nSeriously?nIn this day and age, with the technology used to track stock?nPerhaps your stock re-order prompt numbers need re-visiting...nAnd blaming the 'deadly pandemic' is just, well, old!nLike I said, pitiful.nPS. It's nothing personal.nIt's a Christchurch wide failing when it comes to lack of variety.nBut something that is yours to own.nThat bloody great big mountain we have to go over coming into the carpark?!nIs that really necessary?nUnfortunately the photo doesn't at all give an indication of the diverse levels.nAnd just one more thing.nGiven the price of grocery items, you think you could swing for a few more lights in your carpark.nNot user friendly when you've never been to the store prior, it's night time, no-one else is leaving, and you don't know where the heck to go to get outta there!!!nIf lights are out of your budget, how about a couple of cheap signs depicting the way out?!

Nice place to buy your groceries. They have free fruits for kids but there are times they ran out of fruits.

Always a good experience visiting this store, plenty of helpful and friendly staff to assist. Extensive range and speciality departments to cater for your basic and fancy needs.nGood to see hombrand items from parent company stocked - as there are good price points and value associated with them.nRemember your bags and to return your Trundler to it's parking spot
