We went out bang on 9am on Boxing day, the cafe was already busy but no line or waiting. The pancakes were amazing, fluffy, light, and tasty, they were cooked perfectly, and the drinks were more than expected. Tea was very fresh and full of flavour, the coffee was superb better than some places in Wellington and the milkshake/smoothie was finished with gusto. Great service, awesome food and we picked some strawberries after our meal. SO YUMMY and such a treat to be able to go and PYO. It was very pleasant wandering the rows picking the ones we wanted. Friendly staff even in the heat. The place got busy very quickly and packed but thankfully we were on our way out. We intend to go back again soon for both fresh berries and a lovely breakfast.
The strawberries were really fresh and tasty. The staff was so nice. We had tasty huge cone ice creams. My daughter loved the alpacs too.
The best real fruit ice cream we ever tasted! The strawberries were so fresh and tasty. The alpacas were so friendly as well. The service could have been better thoughFood: 4/5
Saw the ice cream sign on way past so decided to stop to get one for on the way as was in a hurry. Bought small punnet of really big raspberry and strawberry each, $7.50 each. Strawberry was big and nice, still over priced as its normally around $5. Raspberry was a big disappointment, almost tasteless, worked out nearly a dollar each. Onto the ice cream, think it was $7.50ea, again over price as other places are $6. Only 3 or 4 person before me, took about 15-20min to get ice cream. The place wasn't even packed, only about half full. Don't stop if you are in a rush, slow service.
Amazing service and fantastic food. Must try the ice creams and pan cakes..Food: 5/5
Do not go here if it’s busy! We waited 40 minutes for two ice creams. Kids and parents completely over it. Owner obviously interested in money rather than customer service. None of the other real fruit ice cream places I’ve been to have taken as long and with greater volumes of people.
A fantastic place to go with the family and have a fun day out picking our own berries. The Cafe has a very limited menu to choose from but still enjoyable meals. We did have a disagreement about what we had paid for and received but that was sorted, this did seem to happen to another 2 tables around us, maybe someone was having a bad day?
Very busy. I went with a group of disabled residents, a family pushed in front of us and they got served first. Was also very dusty from what was blowing off the car park, and sitting inside was not an option. I would recommend sitting in your car to eat. Otherwise my food was delicious and portion size was excellent.Food: 5/5
The sweetest strawberries I’ve ever had! You can do the strawberry picking for $10/bucket and bring it home, not to mention that you can eat as many as you want while you’re picking it. Very nice quick service and helpful staff. Tried the mixed berries ice cream and in love with it! It was so good. There was alpacas and animals as well. Bought the strawberry dessert wine as well
Visited when it was very busy, hoping to do pyo strawberries. There was no signage to say pyo was only on the weekend so we lined up in the very long line only to be told it wasn't available. While having lunch the dust & leaves from carpark were blowing straight into cafe & ended up with bits on our plates & coffee. A stressed looking staff member started yelling at everyone in the line pyo isn't available & it came across in a really grumpy tone. The cafe & especially the bathroom were very dirty. Berries were flying off the shelves & weren't kept well stocked. Ice cream was delicious but the wait was very long. Strawberries I bought were really nice. Cafe looked really understaffed & disorganized for the amount of customers. What had been great other visits was really disappointing yesterday
