Funky Duck Cafe

Lovely little cafe right by the lake. We walked around the lake before stopping in to the funky duck for brunch. Great coffee and food.

Every time I come to Whanganui about four times a year, we go for a walk around Virginia Lake and then stop by the Funky Duck for a snack. I order the custard square every time because it is just so tasty! Today I also tried the black forest frappe - yum!

Nice atmosphere nice food

Good selection of cabinet food. Plenty of seating inside and out if you don't mind ducks.

The steak and cheese pie was bloody good!!! It's a shame they only had one left otherwise I would've got another one for the road. The other food looked good too

Nice food, shame we missed out on a late lunch. Kitchen closed at two PM.

Set into the edge of native bush, the Funky Duck has a lovely ambiance, and serves a good range of freshly prepared food, and a good pot of tea.
