I am a Wild and Woolly Yarns addict. It’s been over a week since my last purchase and I’m starting to get twitchy again!nSeriously though … I absolutely love the great range and personal service I get from the best little wool shop on the planet.nI started knitting while in recovery from breast cancer, ‘to divert my attention and get me through’, was the idea, but I have never stopped!

I retired a few months ago, and have taken up knitting again for an unexpected grandchild - and have just loved the journey. I went to Wild & Woolly Yarns in Milford, because I wanted a little advice from time to time, not just purchasing wool and patterns from people who may not care as much or be able to offer true advice. Meeting Brownen and her husband, and later Sharon who also helps out, has been like making new friends - and I have a giggle with them on every visit. I also get to chat with other customers often - and while we wait for the current customer to be served, we often chat together and discuss our own projects and admire theirs! We share tips and tricks, joys and woes together - and even find each other at some evening fun nights where some learn knitting, others of us just knit and chat. It's a true pleasure and I look forward to my next 'pop down' to the shop - a warm and comfortable experience. Thanks to Bronwen & Sharon for all their advice and warm support.

Love this shop! Over the years I have shopped here with grandkids to choose a pattern & yarn to knit their special project. Staff have always been outstanding, such as when they worked into the night before lockdown to freight out last minute orders like my own. This business is not just a shop to find what you need. Bronwen and her team are building a community hub, a place where you feel welcome and can chat with other yarn crafters.nThey have a great range of yarns too!nJust love going down to source or browse and chat.

Be careful ordering “Adult” pattens. The one I ordered as a PDF was online under “Adults” but in fact was only for teens and medium adults. So not all adults. I bought the patten to make a jumper for my adult over 6 foot tall daughter, too small for this adult. Disappointing experience.
