The refined art of delicate desserts indeed. I’ve ordered from them three times so far. While I wish they would have more selections of ‘Birthday cakes’ and more temporary car parks for pick-ups, every one of the cakes I have ordered comes perfectly in terms of design, texture, and richness. Sonia and her team have best patisserie in Auckland! Everything from the sweets and savories at the counter and made to order cakes are absolutely amazing and fantastic! I always get our special occasion cakes from here and are never have never been disappointed!
A real treat. I hosted X4 seasons of THE HIT TV show - New Zealands Hottest Home Baker and can say without a doubt that Vaniye is a champion. A Patisserie that is both a visual feast as great as it is delicious.
When talking about cakes and pastries for special occasions, Vaniyé Patisserie instantly comes to mind. Last Friday, my wife celebrated her birthday and for something truly decadent, the Noah Chocolate Cake was instantly my best bet. Good things come in four — dark and milk chocolate mousse, praline crunch, chocolate sponge and cassis blackcurrant coulis — so you get to enjoy the best of all worlds in one bite. The marriage of these ingredients results in a balanced flavour and will definitely tantalise your taste buds. Vaniyé Patisserie prides themselves on selling baked goods made sincerely and from the heart. Their Noah Chocolate Cake looks heavenly and a terrific crowd pleaser. In comparison to the many fancy chocolate cakes in the market, this cake encapsulates the feeling of home sweet home.
Beautiful cafe/bakery in a handy location in Parnell. Not many parking space in front but plenty parking lots on the roadside. Sliced cakes are gorgeously decorated and taste fantastic however the number of readymade cakes are limited. This quiet cosy cafe is my kind of place for unwinding over coffee and a slice of cake after a hard day at work. Thanks Sonia!
Exquisite pastries! Will come back for sure to try more. Sadly the seating area are so minimum so we had to wait to get a table.
Having not purchased a birthday cake from here before, I thought I would try it out. Wow! the cake was incredible. Perfectly presented and deliciously decadent. Every mouthful was divine! It was also a pleasure to view some of their other products in store, ranging from savoury to sweet -every item looked like a work of art. Definitely a place to visit many times - you wont be disappointed. I will definitely return for more.
Being a French family, I guess you could say we have tried almost all the French Patisserie's in Auckland. This is my absolute favourite. So much care and attention has gone into preparing the Buche de Noel Xmas logs that we ordered for Christmas. Come on! When your surname is Buche, you have to have a Buche for Christmas! The complexity and strength of the flavours of the multiple layers, the texture of the slight crunch of the biscuit base, with soft sponge layers, then the creamy buttercream... and did I mention the visual delight. So pretty. The cakes are not too sweet. We ordered both a Tiramisu and Black Forest Buche, and a few other treats for before Christmas. This is a true French patisserie and better than almost all the ones that I have been to in France. Bravo Sonia. It was such a pleasure to meet you and your staff. Thanks for the giggles!
My first-time order and not the last. I am one who reads the menu, hunts for good food, and doesn't settle with an average birthday cake person reads Foodie. I picked the Noah Chocolate Cake for my partner's birthday, and it was indeed a good choice. Layered with different flavours, each blending well yet stands out on its own. For one who is always on the err side with chocolate cake as it either is too dense, too light, or too chocolatey in the wrong way and for one who loves anything chocolate, this cake has done a fantastic job serving palettes on two different spectra. I must admit it was a bet for a quality cake with the price on offer, and it was a winning bet. I could savour the cake one slice after another, with or without a drink, and at almost any time of the day. This cake is a true delicacy.
Nice fancy cakes. Brought a large cake for my dads birthday. The cake wasn't very sweet but it was still quite nice. We had to pick up the cake on the Saturday for the Sunday as they were closed Sunday and Monday. Edit: Tried the gallete de rois and it was nice. Pear with frangipane in a nice pastry. The finding of the charm made it fun. Their croissants are nice and can be frozen for eating later.
