Recently visited Pandoro Panetteria in Parnell, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! This bakery truly captures the essence of a good bakery and offers a wide range of delicious treats that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. The moment I stepped into the bakery, I was greeted with the warm and inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The display case was a feast for the eyes, showcasing an array of beautifully crafted cakes, pastries, and pies. It was evident that the bakers here take great pride in their creations. However, I need to mention that it's not a truly authentic Italian bakery, more of a glorified New Zealand bakery. Steak pie was average with chewy meat, mince pie just fell apart but was 8/10.
Always nice to grab pastries here. I love quiche here! Very reasonable price, but delicious. Highly recommend!
Compared to its glory days in the 90s Pandoro is pretty sad, but they still have a few really nice products so I go back from time to time. It no longer bears the slightest resemblance to an artisanal Italian bakery - it's a slightly more up-market version of the classic kiwi bakery. The five grain loaf is very good, so is the pecan tart.
Very disappointing. Almond croissants were dry and tasteless, not at all from what I remember they tasted like years ago, also the vanilla slices were not up to standard, so sad. We will not be buying this again T Rutten
Unbelievably bad service from Incha. First she yelled at me to go to another till, and when I asked if the muffins were gluten free she was so rude and then told me I had an attitude problem. When I asked for an apology she said she didn't think she'd done anything wrong! The muffin turned out to be rock hard. I live around the corner from Pandoro Parnell but certainly will not be going back, and will advise my friends the same.
Low winds and a calm water made for a steady journey. The captain was calm and confident and her crew, hardened by a Pirate's life, were Harty and fearless.
Best pies ever!!! On holiday here - popped in for some takeaway lunch - amazing!!! My wife is very fussy but was extremely impressed - she was in raptures over the butter chicken pie!! Doughnut and vegetable pizza slice were fabulous too! Staff were lovely and friendly- totally loved the whole experience- wish we lived nearer or you opened a branch in the UK!! Thanks for the brillz lunch! Robbie and Tracy x
Ordered a lamb pie, got home and found it was filled with only pumpkin no lamb in sight. Bit disappointed. Even had letter 'L' carved onto the top so must have been a mixup.
Very tasty bread, sandwiches and pastry! Friendly staff! Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch
If I find myself driving past Pandoro I have to stop to get a snack and a loaf of bread. The choice is really great and the quality is top notch.
