We walked in looking for food late in the afternoon 2:30pm and were glad their kitchen were still open. The waitress was friendly and had a big smile on her the whole time serving us. We didn’t have a lot of expectations as we are starving but was pleasantly surprised by their food. Lots of flavours and good portions but let’s just say their cooking is not the healthiest! Generous serving of sauce and fried items is not so great for my waistline! The interior is basically a bar but they have a few outdoor tables off Parnell Rd under the shades, which feels more like a cafe..
Mink Cafe is located at a strategic vibrant corner on Parnell Rd and is probably more well known for its lunch menu. However I'm here this evening to try out their dinner menu for the first time. We ordered Fish - Catch of The Day and Grilled Chicken as mains, Wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce to share, and the Mango Cheesecake as dessert. The food is of high quality and very well presented, however I feel that the portion is on the small side. I highly recommend the Grilled Chicken on mashed potatoes which is very well seasoned and taste great. The homemade mango cheesecake tasted yummy and refreshing too. I feel that the setting/decor of this place is more suited cafe style rather than fine dining. Also one of the waiters had hoodie jacket on which I thought was too casual for our dining experience. Parking could also be an issue during peak hours but we were lucky to find a car-park right outside the cafe. All in all we had a good experience and the Zamato Gold discount was icing on the cake really
Love Mink Cafe although I do get an overdose on the caffeine. When you’re on your 5th coffee it’s a great place !! Popped in to catch up with friends today and have some Breakfast. Friendly staff and customers as always. Sat in the sun having a chat. Life !!

I had such high hopes for this place considering the menu options and the reviews, but it turned out to be nothing special and just below average. As we entered the place there were just a few tables occupied, however the waitress that served our table seemed quite uninterested and it seemed as if she wasn't happy about her job. The table had still the previous customers' dishes, utensils and cups and it took her some time to clean it and an additional time to bring us menus to actually order food and coffee. We had the "Mother Earth" dish $20- and it is not worth it! since it was supposed to have Beetroot hummus as the menu suggested. However, it turned out that the beetroot hummus was just a splashed decoration on the plate on that note- they should add EDIBLE FLOWERS to the menu for this dish - since the hummus was listed- jet it was a decoration The quality of the hummus was - nothing special, it was too liquid-ish and lacked flavor. On the other hand as a compensation -I guess I had half an avocado which was.. yes- avocado = and the cheese was ok. The coffee and hot chocolate we had were just regular and also nothing special. All in all- It looks fancy BUT IT IS FAR FROM FANCY- NOTHING SPECIAL. If you want something extra just go to the place that is across the street- just as I did
Came with my partner on first table deal. I ordered Lamb Shoulder as it's recommended by the chef. It's served with kumara crisps, black beans with ham cubes and pineapples. The lamb was really tender and the sauce was great. The only thing was that the lamb tasted a bit too salty so I just kept drinking my Mojito lol. My partner had pork ribs which was good as the sauce was tasty but the meat was a tad bit too dry for him. Service was great. Will come back and try something else next time :
Had some really good food here for breakfast which have me thinking of coming back! Nice atmosphere and coffee and good food. Would definitely try again
Went here for a quick lunch and the atmosphere is very cute! Only went here as it was advertised on the Zomato Gold app so we had a pretty good saving. Ordered the eggs benedict with bacon and it was good. Portion sizes were slightly on the smaller side.
This egg is really bad , I'm order egg Benedict but what they coming ,all cooked egg where my creamy egg yolk? Not all good day start the worst egg Benedict I ever had
