The Coffee Club

Waited 35 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it did it looked pretty poor, even the chips were over cooked. There was bird poo on the tables and the whole place felt like it could use a good clean. The staff werent the best either and there were only 6 people in the whole cafe. The coffee club is extremely over priced as it is but for that money i was let down, considering they didnt have half the items on the menu we wanted to order

We arrived at 10.30 am and ordered a cappuchino and earl grey tea with soy milk. Two other tables were occupied outside and two inside, so not exactly busy with 3 staff working. After waiting 20 minutes, our order had still not arrived so I went to the counter to ask if they had forgotten our order which they had. We then waited another 10 minutes and finally received what we thought was our order only to realize that they brought cow's milk instead of soy. It was promptly swapped over but then when the tea was poured it was discovered to be English breakfast and not earl grey. We asked for a fresh pot of tea which arrived another 5 minutes later. How wrkng can you get such a simple order??? From placing our order to finally receiving our correct order was 40 minutes., which is totally unacceptable! Just as well we had paid for an hour of parking.

Never been disappointed with the Coffee Club and definitely wasn't with this one. Food was very delcious and I enjoyed every last bite of my meal. Is a lil pricey but the food is excellent quality. Coffee was also very good. Loved that this cafe is in an old villa, makes for unique dining! Especially love that the outdoor seating is roomy and shaded from the sun in hot weather. A great place to sit back and people watch. Parking here and in parnell is paid for so bear that in mind.

I’ve been to heaps of coffee clubs branches both in Australia and New Zealand but this branch out stands every other one. The service and staff are great and there are heaps of different dishes and desserts. I’m definitely coming back!

I've been coming here for a couple years and the staff are usually quite nice. I love grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the back deck from time to time because it's a bit quieter, but today, I happened to be checking my bank account for an unrelated reason and noticed that they over-charged me by a dollar. Now, I know that it's a small amount, but now I have no idea how many other times they may have overcharged me, and that can really add up over time, not to mention, seems a tad sneaky. When I went back to the cafe to ask about it, they refunded me, but said that I had 1 ordered a sweet scone, which cost a dollar extra, and, 2 received a date scone instead, which cost a different amount ???. I tried to point out to them that the "date" scones were sitting behind the "sweet" scone label with a lower price tag, but for some reason they continued to argue with me about it instead of looking at the sign on their "sweet"/"date" scones. I gave up on the discussion as I had to be somewhere, but I don't understand why they couldn't just label the name and cost correctly in the first place, instead of trying to convince me otherwise?? In regards to the quality of food, the scone was rather stale tasteless, only a couple tiny bits of date in the entire thing. I couldn't even break it with my hand, I had to microwave it to eat a piece... I think it's time to find another regular coffee spot :-

A week ago ...last brekkie before leaving Auckland and we were Sooo disappointed I had pancake stack with bacon/banana, wasn't even a pancake stack was 3 little pancakes and 2 bits bacon and a black banana in its skin. Then my daughter had a breakfast burger which was disgusting and the smallest burger I've ever seen which was $14.90 would have been better of going to burger king for a $6 combo and my pancakes were $18 absolute rip off!!! So disappointed never go to the Parnell one!!! The sad thing is we never get to eat out much as a family so thought it would be nice on our last day of our holiday but would never eat there again......not even any other branch totally been put of!!!!!

Me and my partner go to the coffee club often.. Always really enjoyable! The staff are great and very helpful. Food is always excellent. Highly recommended the breakfast menu.

Bad experience in here. They had a specials board with a promotion, but would tell you after you have seated and are ready to order that the promotion does not apply to the specials. OK, how convenient. Then went to pay and had to ask for the receipt, they gave me a receipt with things I did not ordered but they explained to me that it was OK as they had no charged for that. When I checked what I had paid again had to go and the casheer gave me a refound. Bad experience. Attention was also terrible.

Er got burgers and they were really bad, but the worst thing was that there were a bug i the salat.. and the waiter did not even apologize.. they Just made a New burger that they have not cookies proberly. The fries were Are and the meat was cold. Do not eat here...

Probably because someone commented 5 days ago that the chips was over cooked, when I was there 2 days ago, it was under cooked. There were only 3 people in the cafe, too quiet for a Sunday afternoon.
