Dined here Valentines Day 2024 and it was beautiful. After travelling 277 kms from our home we dined here again to an exceptional meal and exemplary service from Jackson. Thank you Walker and your team for a very wonderful dining experience. We will be back again next year
Awesome service. Welcomed us at the door and offered us a choice of 3 different seats. We were just after a drink and some chips. Our server took our order within a minute, drinks came out within another minute. And chips only took 2 minutes. They had to be cooking before we got there. Definitely recommend
On a bus tour, stopped nearby for lunch, we chose The Quay. We selected the Tasting Plate, a chef’s choice consisting of chicken & waffles, crispy fried snapper, and crispy pork, each with their own unique flavors. Great food! Yummy!
I came here for dinner during the week, the place was surprisingly busy. The staff were very warm and welcoming, and the food was just fantastic. I had the lamb fillet, it was succulent, a very nice portion, and the side was also delicious. Overall the meal was very tasty but also visually appealing. The atmosphere right on the Hatea River is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Their ability to listen to customer needs is noteworthy, and they show great attentiveness. One staff member named Lovely truly lives up to her name and genuinely enhances the experience with her accommodating nature. Additionally, the food is delicious and top-notch, from presentation to taste. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Whangarei.
