Myself and partner went out to celebrate in between our bdays this year also first time we had been out for a proper date just the two of us in 9years. Food was delicious I had Cajun chicken absolutely beautiful! Perfect amount of spice only little issue was the edge of my chicken was a tad burnt and hard most of it was great tho. Hubby had your stir crazy sirloin he enjoyed his steak cooked to perfection! His issue he found the potato and kumara seemed to go soggy rather quick. Service was very close to perfection : we had bailey she was very friendly and helpful even moved us away from the cold when asked sadly someone had taken our sauces and salt and pepper off the table and it wasn't checked the whole time. And maybe if drinks aren't mentioned at order perhaps bring up as a suggestion. Overall good experience was very loud tho had to almost yell at my hubby a couple of times.
Lone Star Whangarei is great, highly recommend a visit.nMenu is great as usual. Plenty to choose from. And the cocktails were delicious, very generous size.nStaff were lovely and attentive.nHighly recommend a visit.
A fabulous night the food was amazing and the girls waiting on our table their service was impeccable and they were so lovely. Will not hesitate to recommend you guys and also come here again.
Great experience! We had an event in town so called the restaurant and asked if we can book a table for 8.30pm for 5 so we can get dinner after the event. That too on a Monday night. The team kindly kept the place open and served us with a smile. Didn’t get rushed either! Fantastic food and experience! We will definitely be back. Thank you Lone Star Whangarei team.
First impressions weren't too good. We booked for 7 people and got seated on a small corner table where we couldn't fit so we requested another table. Waiter staff seem to be understaffed and under experienced. No initiative taken to clear finished plates and cutlery when walking away empty handed. Food was good but service was poor
